Diebold Inc. has estimated its first quarter revenue at $700.2 million in its first release of any financial details in about a year.
Green-based Diebold hasn't posted financial results while regulators review the way the maker of ATMs, security systems and voting machines reports revenue.
Diebold said today that the first quarter estimate is up 8.1 percent from a revised first-quarter 2007 estimate of approximately $647.7 million. No profit figures were released.
Diebold has turned down an unsolicited takeover bid from Hartford, Conn.-based United Technologies Corp.
