GOP calls for Ohio attorney general to resign amid scandal

By Associated Press

COLUMBUS: Ohio Republicans are calling for Attorney General Marc Dann to resign, calling his public apology for an affair and the conduct of aides an inadequate response.

Dann admitted today to an affair with an employee less than an hour after an internal investigators announced an aide violated the office's sexual harassment policy.

Ohio GOP deputy chairman Kevin DeWine says Dann failed Ohioans by allowing an immoral and unethical atmosphere to thrive under his watch.

DeWine says Dann turned the attorney general's office into a ''raunchy frat pad.''

Dann, who campaigned to clean up ethical blunders by the state's Republicans, says he will not resign.
