Stow police will talk today about cocaine bust

Stow police will hold a news conference at 10 a.m. today to talk about a major cocaine bust late Friday night at the Kent State University Airport.

Acting on a tip from federal authorities in Los Angeles, police found 30 one-kilo packages of cocaine on a small plane that landed at the airport after 10 p.m.

Three men were arrested on drug charges and are expected to be arraigned today.

Robert Hawes Jr., Malcolm Sales and Tommy Gonzales were charged with possession of drugs. They are being held at the Summit County Jail, authorities said.
