Ohio gasoline prices hit all-time high

By Associated Press

COLUMBUS: Ohio gasoline prices hit a record high today.

Regular-grade gas is now averaging $3.66 a gallon in Ohio, according to the Daily Fuel Gauge Report from AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. That's 43 cents higher than last month.

The previous record was $3.61, which was set last Friday.

Among the state's major metro areas, prices now range from an average of roughly $3.64 around Youngstown to $3.70 in Akron.

Some analysts predict prices could rise to a national average of $4 in coming weeks. Prices are already that high in some areas, including parts of Hawaii and California.
