The Cleveland Browns said today they have signed rookie offensive lineman Derrick Morse to a free agent contract.
Morse (6-4, 320 pounds), participated in rookie mini-camp May 2-4 with the Browns on a tryout basis. He played 41 career games at the University of Miami, starting 30 for the Hurricanes, including every game of his junior and senior seasons.
Morse earned four letter and was named second-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference after his senior season.
The Browns also announced they have waived wide receiver Nate Hughes, linebacker Xavier Mitchell and defensive back Darnell Terrell.
