In observance of the July Fourth holiday, post offices in the area will be closed Friday and there will be no regular mail delivery.
Also, some area post offices will close early today. They are:
- East Akron, 1763 Goodyear Blvd. -- 2 p.m.
- Ellet, 2390 Wedgewood Drive -- 3 p.m.
- Fairlawn, 2711 W. Market St. -- 5 p.m.
- Five Points, 634 W. Exchange St. -- noon
- Kenmore, 2394 East Ave. -- 2 p.m.
- Maple Valley, 1518 Copley Road -- 2 p.m.
- North Hill, 574 E. Cuyahoga Falls Ave. -- 2 p.m.
- South Arlington, 1237 S. Arlington St. -- 5 p.m.
Some post office lobbies also will have reduced retail hours or be closed on Saturday. For information concerning service at specific locations today or Saturday, customers can call 1-800-ASK-USPS.
Express mail will be delivered Friday, and commercial customers should check with the bulk mail acceptance unit for Saturday hours. All area post offices will resume normal retail hours on Monday.
