An Akron mother who tried to hide her children from authorities was located and arrested Monday night, police said.
Following a tip, Lenea C. Dunham, 25, of 1226 Edison Avenue, was arrested and charged with interference with custody. Dunham was ordered by Summit County Juvenile Courts to turn her five children over to Children's Services.
Police found the children Monday evening in a unit of the Rosemary Square Apartments on Keys Place, according to Lt. Rick Edwards of the Akron Police Department.
Authorities were notified that the children, ages 3 to 10, were missing last week after Children's Services was granted emergency custody.
The children were handed over to the agency last night.
