Thieves steal food, utensils from restaurant

Thieves broke into a West Akron eatery and walked off with food and the utensils to eat it with, Akron police said.

The owner of China Place Restaurant, 474 West Market Street, reported that someone broke out the front door of the restaurant at about 7:30 a.m. Sunday.

The thieves took 30 pounds of frozen shrimp from the freezer and six forks from a table in the dining area of the restaurant.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 330-375-2490.
