Three intruders duct-tape man to chair, steal appliances

By Beacon Journal staff report

Summit County sheriff's investigators are seeking three intruders who burst into an apartment in Coventry Township early Sunday, duct-taped the victim to a chair and stole appliances and personal items.

Investigators say that around 3:30 a.m., the victim answered a knock on his apartment door in the 2000 block of South Gregg Avenue and was met by the three suspects — one carrying a shotgun — dressed in dark clothing.

The victim was not hurt.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call 330-643-2181.
