CLEVELAND: NASA is honoring its strong Ohio link with a ceremony highlighting the roles played by the many astronauts from the state.
Many of those astronauts are coming to Cleveland for a ceremony tonight as part of NASA's 50th anniversary celebrations.
Among those explorers expected are the first American to orbit the Earth, John Glenn, and the first man to set foot on the Moon, Neil Armstrong.
NASA is also recognizing the role of its Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, now involved in the Constellation Program that aims to send astronauts to the moon by 2020.
Some of the astronauts plan to attend the Cleveland National Air Show, occurring over the Labor Day weekend.
