3 Medina crossings to get gates, lights

By Beacon Journal staff report

COLUMBUS: CSX Transportation will install flashing lights and roadway gates at three railroad crossings in Medina County, the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio announced Wednesday.

The crossings are at: Boston Road and Myrtle Hill Road, both in Liverpool Township, and Deerview Lane in Lafayette Township.

CSX must submit site plans and cost estimates for the project to the PUCO within 90 days and will be responsible for completing construction by Sept. 10, 2009.

The PUCO is responsible for evaluating Ohio's public crossings to determine the need for installing active warning devices.
