McCain and Palin to hold rally Wednesday in Strongsville

By Stephanie Warsmith
Beacon Journal staff writer

Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, his running mate, will hold a rally Wednesday in Strongsville.

The rally will be on the Strongsville City Commons, at the corner of state Routes 42 and 82. Gates will open at 2:15 p.m.

This will be McCain's only appearance in Ohio on this campaign leg. Palin will travel south, where she will have an event in Wilmington on Thursday and a fundraiser in Cincinnati for the Republican National Committee on Friday.

The Strongsville event is open to the public. Tickets are needed, though those without them will be accommodated as space permits.

Tickets are available at several locations in Cuyahoga County and at McCain's campaign office in Medina, 124 N. Court St., from noon to 9 p.m.

ABJ, please stop treating every lying word out of McCain and Palin's mouths as a news story. They are bankrupt on ideas and morality, and they are now slinging any piece of mud they can think of and hoping something sticks. Act like a news organization, please! (You could start by posting this comment.)

McCain saying he is not responsible for this economic mess is the Ultimate Bridge to Nowhere.

In his 26 years in Washington, McCain and the lobbiest that Run his Campaign have been fighting for Big Corporations while leaving Middle Class Americans out in the Cold.

Bush-McCain Economic Policy has been nothing short of a disaster for hard working people in Ohio.

McCain's Garbage Attack on Obama:

McCain went on vacations with the felon Charles Keating. McCain accepted campaign contributions in excess of $100,000 from Charles Keating. McCain was an enabler of Keating's illegal shenanigans, holding off regulators and delaying the day of reckoning and causing more innocent people to lose their life savings. McCain and Keating had close personal and business relationships for years.

Obama, on the other hand, was never personal friends with Ayers. Obama's only "business" dealings with Ayers were in connection with a charity working to improve education in Chicago. When Obama met Ayers, the man was a respected educator at the University of Illinois Chicago Circle, not a terrorist. Obama received a $200 campaign contribution from Ayers in a run for State Senate. Obama has NO ties whatsoever in any possible way with Ayers past. No one considers Ayers a threat today. Mayor Daley has praised the man.
Which association is a worse indictment of a presidential aspirant?
No question. It's Keating and McCain by a mile.

The charges against Ayers were dropped. Keating was convicted of felony fraud, racketeering, and conspiracy, and he did jail time.

"The Washington Post reported in 1988 that John McCain had sent his own money to the Nicaraguan terrorist organization known as 'contras.'

What AP reported yesterday is that now many writers are investigating John McCain's support of a right-wing organization that sent arms to the Nicaraguan terrorists.

The contras targeted and killed both Ben Linder, an American volunteer engineer in Nicaragua, and an American nun Sister Maureen Courtney.

McCain visited the contra camps illegally less than five months after the contras killed Ben Linder of Portland, Oregon, and the contras killed Sister Maureen Courtney just three years after McCain made his friendly visit to the child-raping, civilian-castrating terrorists.

After McCain returned from his friendly visit with the contras, he lobbied the Reagan Administration to boost funding and arms to the contras.

The contra terrorists killed tens of thousands of civilians in order to maintain their control over the rural, farming communities in their region."

It seems to me that McCain should worry more about the great plank in his eye that the mote of dust in Obama's.
