The list of presidential candidates and their surrogates converging on Ohio this week is long and expected to grow longer.
Sen. Barack Obama will be in Toledo the next three days preparing for the third and final presidential debate Wednesday night. He was expected to unveil an economic plan for helping the middle class at a Toledo event at 1:30 p.m. today.
Sen. Joe Biden, Obama's Democratic running mate, will begin a two-day bus tour in eastern Ohio Tuesday that will include a stop in Warren.
The Warren event will be at the Warren Community Amphitheatre, 303 Mahoning Ave., at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Tickets are not required, but people are encouraged to RSVP online at oh.barackobama.com. Space will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Limited public parking is available and carpooling is recommended.
Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) campaigned for Sen. John McCain, the GOP presidential candidate, Sunday and today. He met this morning with Jewish community leaders in Cleveland.
Independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader's staff will hold a press conference at 11 a.m. Tuesday to announce the opening of a campaign office in Cincinnati. Nader plans to add 22 offices and 50 field staff members in the hope of securing votes in 49 states.
Other visits are expected later in the week but details haven't yet been released.

When will people start asking Palin about her husband's role in the Alaskan Independent Party and her speech to them in 2008?
Now that US manufacturers have trumped Nader's early "green" successes by moving plants (and jobs) overseas, perhaps Nader should move to China and try his luck at "green" regulations there.
