Some Ohio votes double-counted

By Associated Press

COLUMBUS: Elections officials say some electronic votes were counted twice in the unofficial returns reported by Franklin County, which includes Columbus.

The affected precincts are part of central Ohio's 15th Congressional District, where the race between Republican Steve Stivers and Democrat Mary Jo Kilroy remains too close to call.

Franklin County Board of Elections Director Michael Stinziano said the miscounts will be fixed today. He said it was a very smooth election overall.

One Columbus precinct has 1,066 registered voters but posted 1,138 votes. In suburban Worthington, a precinct has 534 registered voters but counted 633 votes, and another has 951 registered voters but reported 1,095 votes.

In other places in Ohio, some votes were not counted at all. Deja vu all over again?

I read where some of our troops didn't get to vote that their ballots wern't turned in. Does anyone have any "FACTS"?

If only there were some way to get soldiers to do things in a quick orderly fashion........

If soldiers did not get to vote it is the fault of the current commander-in-chief for failing to get ballots to them on time or failing to get the ballots back here on time. November 5th snuck up on no one.

it most definitely not the soldiers fault nor the fault of anyone else expect the people that are relied on by the soldiers for all logistical needs. Blame the DoD and it's boss. The responsibility rests with them.

Give me a break. In Virginia, the ballots for the troops were not even printed by the date they were supposed to be mailed out, which resulted in the delay of the troops receiving them. The supreme court said they could not destroy the ballots as they had planned on. Now their is a hearing set. It has nothing to do with the commanders or the troops not mailing them back in enough time. Educate yourself before making a comment.

Is it going to become a routine for the losing side to allege voter fraud after every election? It's also ironic that Democrats (like Alison?) are being dismissive after a tremendous amount of crying in 2000 and 2004.

Ok so when the DoD said "hey where are the ballots for out troops from Virginia?" and the Virginia Board of Elections said "gee sorry we don't have them ready yet". I guess the DoD just said "Oh no big deal send them over whenever".......Don't think it went down like that. Or at least it shouldn't have under capable leadership.I can bet the private contractor that manufactures ammunition gets the bullets over there on time as needed and if it looks like they may miss a deadline I am sure the DoD liaison is all over them and makes them hit the deadline. Why not with ballots?

And I do educate myself. But I mostly rely on my own common sense, logic and reason. I call it "thinking for myself". You should try it sometime. If you have the ability of cognitive thought and you apply it to situations you'll find quite often the "official story" or "press release" just doesn't explain basic common sense problems. Soldiers not getting ballots on time was a failure on the part of everybody involved BUT the soldiers themselves. So unless the DoD is part of the democrat conspiracy, which is what your trying to infer I am sure, this is just a basic mistake and a non-story.

By the By....I'm a Marine Veteran still in contact with friends still in. And I can tell you that 12 out of 16 men in 4th squad were voting Obama when we discussed it a month ago. So I wouldn't get all up on your hind legs just yet there Chester.
