Bowling Green 28, Ohio University 3

By Associated Press

ATHENS: Tyler Sheehan threw two touchdown passes and caught another one as Bowling Green cruised to a 28-3 win over Ohio University today.

Sheehan caught a 22-yarder from backup quarterback Andrew Beam in the second quarter to put the Falcons (5-5, 3-3 Mid-American) up 14-0.

OU (2-8, 1-5) opened the second half with a 10-play, 68-yard drive that included a 41-yard pass to LaVon Brazill and resulted in a field goal.

But Beam scored on a two-yard quarterback keeper on Bowling Green's next series, and linebacker John Haneline's interception a few plays later set up another Falcon touchdown — a four-yard pass from Sheehan to Marques Parks — that made it 28-3.

The Bobcats twice drove to within Bowling Green's 25, but couldn't score again.

Sheehan was 22-of-29 for 207 yards, while OU quarterbacks Boo Jackson and Brandon Jones combined to throw 13-of-30 passes for 188 yards. Jackson threw two interceptions.
