A 28-year-old Stow resident told police he was robbed of his money and car while trying to buy marijuana in South Akron on Sunday night.
The victim said he he went to an address on Bellows Street about 9 p.m. and was assaulted and robbed of $180 and his 2002 Chevy Blazer. The vehicle was recovered and returned to the owner.

Ha Ha, what idiot tells the police he was buying drugs?? That's a classic!
Oh my... Are we supposed to care about this guy?
I'm might be a bit "out there" but I had to laugh out loud at this one!
Dum Bass!
This young Man is very lucky he lost only his car and $180.00, this year my Son lost his life.He should quit with the drugs while he's ahead.
Don't they sell pot in Stow?
hahah, I hate when I get robbed while buying drugs, lol!
This is not a crime, rather a lesson learned. Moron.
Exactly. Lesson learned? Buy weed from people OUTSIDE the ghettos.
R U kiddin me ??? This guy has lost whatever mind he had left.Ya Officer, I was gonna get me some Weed over here, but they stole my $ and my car. R they allowed 2 do that ? When that story hit at the Cop shop those guys were on the floor crackin the Hell up. I wonder what the Wife had 2 say about it when he showed up at home ??
I was meeting someone to buy a car stereo. I was meeting someone to buy a guitar. I was meeting someone to buy a tool. -- All decent, legal excuses.
Considering that he was in South Akron, he probably lied and said "marijuana" thinking it was less trouble than saying he was there to buy meth. Everyone in Stow-Kent probably pegged him for a liability and wouldn't sell to him. LOLZ.
PRIME EXAMPLE of the TRUE DRUG problem in America...
The drug trade is not kept alive by the poor white and black people in the "ghetto's"....
The drug trade... as always... is kept alive by people like this coming from suburbia to feed their high priced habits......
The upside of METH is.....criminals like this no longer come to the hood.....
legalize it end all the stupidity
Best classic of the year, LMAO
Wait a minute...your going to do something illegal, then you get robbed while doing this illegal thing.....then you call the police. I don't know if this is just funny or stupid or both. The mind-set of mankind is amazing.
lol..wasnt there a story earlier this year about a woman being robbed when she went to buy some drugs? I think she was from canton. I know it's a long shot but they maybe related. Now the question is...did the police go to the house where the drugs were being sold? How did they recover his car? Was anyone arrested for stealing his car? Where's the real story. I want a follow-up!! heh heh heh
how could the police have returned the stolen car from the man who went to purchase drugs....this is a question the police chief needs to answer.. he (man who called the police and told that he went to purchase the drugs) should go to jail and his vehicle impounded......double standards b/c he's from stow...come on ...one set of laws for everyone HELLO LAW ENFORCEMENT....HE WENT TO PURCHASE DRUGS!!!!!
What's this world coming to? A person can't even make a decent drug purchase without getting robbed.
Ohio.com has the WORST, I repeat WORST comment section imaginable. First you lose Terry Pluto, then Brian Windhorst, then all your readership, and THEN you trash your website with this lame comment section? Do the people who run the Journal and Ohio.com WANT to fail? Sure seems that way.
