East Canton woman dies in crash

An East Canton woman died in a one-vehicle traffic accident Monday night.

Katherine Hicks, 60, was ejected from her 2000 Chevrolet Silverado at about 9 p.m. in Osnaburg Township.

Police say Hicks was driving south on Evening Star Avenue when she drove off the left side of the road. The vehicle rolled several times.

Hicks was transported to Mercy Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

Police say she was not wearing a seat belt.

The Canton post of the Ohio Highway Patrol is investigating.
