The state announced more than $44 million in stimulus funds today for projects in the Akron-Canton area.
The local projects include replacing the Brady Lake Bridge in Portage County, building a transit facility in Medina County, resurfacing Interstate 77 in Stark County and rehabbing the state Route 303 bridge in Wayne County.
Akron received the most funding of any local community, getting $21 million for four projects, including fencing and other improvements to the All America (Y-Bridge) to try to prevent suicide attempts.
Other Akron projects are for improvements to South Main Street and Frank Boulevard and for the State Street bridge design.

I would really like new windows for my home ... Can I have some of the 44 Million? I promise to give back the 30% that the Fed says I will get back on my taxes next spring ...
You can have money if you can show how new windows is a transportation-related project. Do you live n a mobile home?
@Gain some-
funny
Lets see,,,,,,,that should just about cover one traffic light and a raise for the Don and his cronies.
what a waste - spending our hard earned money to stop losers from jumping.
"Do you live in a mobile home"
Nahhhh the tires rotted off a long time ago ... So its not too mobile. But the rims are still there ... Does that count?
