Really? Starrman is right, I'm surprised he wasn't charged with attempted murder for that. Wow.

We should outlaw shovels. Of course when you outlaw shovels only criminals will have shovels.

Shovels don't kill people! People kill people.

AKRON - A beautiful place to be shot. . . or attacked with a shovel! It's a cesspool. There should be a mass exodus from the stinkpit!!! I think Detroit might even be better these days.

It would be hard to prove that he intented to kill the victim. He can say that he was simplying trying to knock the victim out....so no, attempted murder will not work. Felonious Assault is the proper charge (using an object as a weapon during an assault)

since he broke his shovel he was spotted last month at Sheetz with an ax.

Funny how they how they don't mention that the guy he hit was holding a knife on someone else. It's true, all 4 people say he hit the guy. All 4 people also say it was to prevent a stabbing. Why is it, ABJ, that you omit that part of the story?

Rats, I thought this would be about the old guy who helped fix his street! You know , charged with assault with a shovel.

WE need to get Hand Tools out of the Criminals Hands ! (note-this remark is sarcasm.)

Whatever happened to that nice elderly man who tried to help fix the potholes??

Bigguy1k0

Where did you get that information at? I've searched (almost) everywhere and didn't find anything other than what the police said.

And that's all you will find until after the grand jury indictment. I know the people involved. It's all the prosecutors information until it gets in front of a actual jury at trial. Hey ellet2507, mattvj5, and starrman, if someone was holding you at knife point wouldn't you want a bystander to intervene? Even if it meant smacking the guy with a shovel? Think about it.
