TOMAH, WIS.: A squad car video shows a Wisconsin lawmaker falling down during a sobriety test that led to his third arrest in less than a year on suspicion of driving under the influence.
The video released Tuesday by Tomah police shows Rep. Jeffrey Wood getting pulled over after officers see his Buick Skylark stop in the middle of a road and then slowly swerve across both lanes of traffic.
When Wood is asked to walk a straight line, he stumbles backward into his car before falling down into some grass. An officer helps him up, and Wood is put in handcuffs a short time later.
The video also shows police seizing bottles of prescription drugs from Wood.
He was charged last week with third-offense operating under the influence of an intoxicant and bail jumping. He has apologized for his actions and says he won't seek re-election next year.

I hope he gets the help he needs, and that's that.
Some lawmaker this guy is...what a joke! In reality, he is doing a much better job as a lawbreaker. Maybe he can rack up another 3 or 4 DUI's, and in the process maim or kill someone, before the authorities take serious action against him. I think I'll follow up on this story in his local area news, just to see if he gets away with a slap on the wrist, relatively speaking.
Perhaps a certain Board of Elections member should follow this former Republican's lead.
I'm pretty sure his conduct is cause for removal from office.
You eat all that cheese and not wash it down, binds you up!
he should've drank ice water an hour before he drove
surprised there is no mention of his party...usually the ABJ puts that in the headline
Believe it or not he WAS a Republican and the party it looks like disavowed him. Kind of like what a certain party here locally should do to another problem party member.
I wonder if he made a law so he could get out of all his DUI's ? Quite a law maker he is!
Won't run again? Why not? Why not move to Washington DC. Plenty of jobs for you there. Good "hic" Luck.
