Three juveniles were arrested Monday night for allegedly starting a fire that damaged several businesses in a Twinsburg shopping plaza.
Police and fire departments were called to the plaza at 10735 Ravenna Road about 7:45 p.m. for a report that several bales of hay had been set on fire.
The fire spread to a building, causing damage to the front of the building and smoke damage to several other businesses in the plaza.
Hudson, Macedonia and Oakwood fire departments responded to help extinguish the blaze.
There were no injuries reported.

These punks should have been at home doing their homework under mom and dads supervision. Maybe if the parents have to pay for the damages and the cost of the fire departments to come out they would keep a better eye on their so-called (good boys.) Give them time in juvie hall and flunk them out of this year of school. Make them repeat next year.
same thing happened at Quality Farm and Fleet in Streetsboro - several years ago - somewhere around 2002. Bales of hay out front - took the whole end of that plaza.
This is like putting cans of gasoline - with a lighter at the front of your business....makes NO sense
That's a lot of big talk from someone who either does not have kids, or who has kids that too young to walk. I have three teenage kids and all three haven't given us much trouble at all. That's not to say that we're not good parents. Sometimes it's a matter of luck! Given that kids (as well as adults) are going to make a mistake all it takes is to make the wrong the mistake to ruin your life. Every good parent loses plenty of sleep and spent many years praying that their kids turn out OK. Lastly, it is possible for "good" parents to have a kid go astray. It happens all the time!!
AMEN Browntown....
young AND old make mistakes...and the young, regardless of parenting, don't always realize the consequences of their actions! Life is a learning experience...those boys probably ARE good boys...with good parents...everyone makes mistakes, everyone has a moment of regret that they probably shouldn't have done something...they're human! They're kids!
i have teenagers and i am shocked that people would say they are kids. my children were taught at a young age not to play with fire. no excuses they are old enough to know better.these young men and women are old enough that there is no excuse for that kind of behavoir.
After they've worked/paid off the damages... have them "volunteer" with burn victims for 500 hours.
Browntown-I told my 4,not to call me from the Police Department to bail them out if in trouble, they could just sit there with there new friends until AFTER they saw a Judge the next day...
Thankfully they never got in trouble.
I think everyone has forgotten that these kids have not actually been charged. They have only been allegedly accused. It's hard to make assumptions about a childs parents or even the kids themselves. They are kids and they do make mistakes. I want you to name a person, let alone a child that has never made a mistake. And to the person who called the kids punks, I feel sorry for you. You need to mind your own business and watch your own kids.
@Voltman, are you kidding me?
What century are you still living in, "doing homework under mom and dad's supervision"??
Believe me, there's PLENTY of stiff laws on the books regarding Arson...juvenile or not. I don't think the police or courts are lacking in anything to charge these kids with. I also don't think throwing the parents in jail for setting fire to some hay bales is very reasonable, but that's just me. Maybe in your side of Fallstucky it makes sense.
@Bigadog23 - The justice system is all about "Guilty Until Proven Innocent." You know that!
@spd3333- You're right, however, I happen to know the parents personally and know the correct story. We also know stories are never entirely reported correctly either.

>Yeah...you know the REAL story...you were right there with them right? All you know is what you were told by a biased party...that's IF you know anybody. I'm sure it was all just a "mistake".<
Them White Boys Did it, face it.
@bigM, I raised two kids who never got into trouble. They were taught right from wrong when they were very little. Now they both have doc. deg. are maried, one has 3 boys and the other has a boy and a girl, and both have very good paying jobs in high level positions. They knew if they got into trouble they wouldn't like the outcome when they got home. I gave them freedom but also kept tabs on what they were doing and who their friends were. As a parent you have to do that and they are doing the same with their kids.
I live in the same century as you and I raised my kids to respect everyone and everything. One old saying, if you play with fire you get burned. Don't be afraid to keep tabs on your kids.
Oh by the way, it's fun being a grandpa too.
Them White Boys Did it, face it.
>Now that right there is funny, I don't care who you are...everybody knows ain't no white boys in Twinsburg no mo<
