Akron fugitive nabbed in Columbus

Columbus police took an Akron man into custody Tuesday who was wanted on felonious assault and drug charges.

Nathan A. Lewis, 27, whose last known address was on Roscoe Street, was arrested without incident in the 300-block of East 12th Street in Columbus.

Lewis was wanted for an assault at a restaurant in the 500-block of White Pond Drive where he was employed.

The victim reported that she confronted Lewis about overcharging customers. During a brief argument, Lewis punched the female victim in the face before fleeing.

He was also wanted on a drug abuse marijuana offense.

Lewis is currently in the Franklin County Jail awaiting extradition back to Summit County.
