Tribe unveils spring-training schedule in Arizona
By Sheldon Ocker
Beacon Journal sports writer
POSTED: 07:04 p.m. EST, Nov 09, 2009
Goodyear, Ariz., will play host to two major-league baseball teams next year, as the Cincinnati Reds join the Cleveland Indians for training camp.
The Tribe will play its first two spring exhibition games against the Cincinnati Reds in the ballpark that both teams will share. Each club will have its own training complex, about a quarter of a mile apart. In all, the Indians and Reds will meet six times, twice at night.
Before the Tribe opens the regular season in Chicago against the White Sox on April 5, it will play 32 exhibition games, including 18 at Goodyear.
One unusual feature of the schedule has the Indians splitting their squad to play the Los Angeles Dodgers in Los Angeles on April 1, while the rest of the roster plays the Los Angeles Angels in Tempe, Ariz., the same day.
Various season-ticket packages and individual game tickets can be purchased by visiting http://indians.com, at the ticket office at the ballpark in Goodyear, by phone (800-745-3000, 866-48-TRIBE) or in person at Indians Team Shops and Ticketmaster outlets.
Individual game tickets range from $7 to $30.

Why don't we just make them one team, so then, maybe, we can finish over .500. . . .
Based on the headline, that doesn't bode too well for the Reds, eh?
:0)
Go Tribe!
Maybe the tribe could learn something from the Reds! Like how to win..
