HIGHLAND PARK, Mich.: A 37-year-old father irate over hearing his 15-year-old son had sexual contact with a 3-year-old girl made the teen strip at gunpoint, marched him to a vacant lot and shot him to death despite pleas from the boy and his mother, a relative said.
Michigan authorities filed a first-degree murder charge Wednesday against Jamar Pinkney Sr. in the shooting death Monday of Jamar Pinkney Jr. in the Detroit enclave of Highland Park.
Defense attorney Corbett O'Meara said prosecutors should consider evidence of the father's state of mind over the sex abuse report.
"If something were to happen that would cause a reasonable person to lose control of himself, that is something the prosecution would have to take into account," O'Meara said outside Highland Park District Court.
Tensions were high in the courtroom Wednesday as the handcuffed suspect was led into the room for the arraignment, which lasted less than a minute.
"No, No, No," one female relative cried before a police officer escorted her out.
Judge Brigette Officer entered a not guilty plea for Pinkney, who's also charged with assault, and ordered him jailed without bond until a preliminary examination Dec. 1.
"This is something that's hard to deal with for all the parties concerned, including the police," police Chief Ted Caldwell said afterward. "Highland Park is a small city. These are people who have been members of the community for years."
Caldwell said the sexual misconduct allegation that led to the confrontation wasn't part of the police investigation.
The shooting happened Monday night in a vacant lot in the once-prosperous city of 16,000, where decay, abandonment, fires and demolition have eaten away at many of the sprawling homes. Highland Park recently exited years of state financial oversight.
Visitors built an impromptu memorial at the shooting site. Two votive candles sat amid 10 stuffed animals, including two white teddy bears with red hearts embroidered with, "I love you."
The boy's mother, Lazette Cherry, told the Detroit Free Press that her son told her he had improper sexual contact with the girl.
"I called and told his father. This isn't something you sweep under the rug," she said.
Cherry said the elder Pinkney arrived at the home with a gun, ordered his son to strip and marched him outside despite her protests.
"He got on his knees and begged, 'No, Daddy, No,' and he pulled the trigger," Cherry said.
Cherry did not immediately respond to a message Wednesday from The Associated Press seeking comment.

Easily the worse story i've heard all year...
My heart goes out to both families. The victim of sexual abuse at the tender age of 3yrs old. poor baby.
A fathers sense of justice???? Murder of your own child? I can't even begin to understand.
Praying for all involved.
@common sense guy, you said it all, how sad...
wow. this is a tough one. there are some people that when they would hear of a 15 year old sexually abusing a 3 year old that would say "kill him, give him the death penalty".... well, that's what happened here... and I think it's kind of sick.
this society has gone to hell.
Not sure what to think.
On one hand the kid was only 15 and and it was his father.
On the other hand the other kid was only 3 and who better to take on the grim task than his own father.
Sexually molest a 3 year old and you need to die. This guy did the responsible thing. Though I know the law doesn't agree with me.
If I had a kid that committed a similar act I would rather be the one to handle it rather than some lackey for the state.
My dad used to tell me " I brought you into this world and I can take you out" I believe it to be a fairly common phrase. This guy just went ahead and ran with it.
such a sad sad story...
@R2EB - 'genetic cleansing' in action... Just rough, absolutley horrible story.
I heard about this yesterday without the sexually abuse swing. I was trying to figure out why they father would do that. Well....it's like this the father state of mind is in question espeically if it was the boys sister that he molested. !5 yr old s these days are different from the past. Too dayum grown for their own selves. I feel sorry for the father and it's kinda ol well for the son. Just a sad sad story that we will probally hear more of. The media just so happen to tell us about it this time.
Talk about family justice!! Wow!
It would make some kind of sense if the three year old's father snapped and did this....but the boy's father? I'm truly perplexed, saddened, horrified, and bewildered!
WOW
WOW! WOW! WOW! I'm thinking that maybe this wasn't the first time that the 15 years had done something like this and that is the reason why the father reacted the way he did....
How in the world do you go ahead and shoot your son when hes crying"no,daddy,no"?????
I understand the father being upset about this ,but come on! This just sickens me.,the poor little guy,my god!
Yes the 15 year old should have been punished for his actions. There is no doubt about that. However death by execution? The boy was basically executed by his own father. What kind of discipline is that? At the very worst you contact authorities and let justice take it's coarse while you also look to get your "son" the help he needs. What a loveless world we live in. the Bible is correct. We are living in the last days(2 Tim 3:1-5, 15)......
Also the father had no right. The scriptures plainly say that vengeance belongs to the Almighty. "Vengeance is mine, I will repay"(Rom 12:13).....
Shoot the father quickly and move on.

Just A Mom: I agree. I think he's (the son) has done it before in the past, and the father got sick and tired of his "sick" behavior. It seems to me that the Father is probably insane.
Needless to say a very tough and heartwrenching situation. And hard to defend any side......
@Question Authority,
That would be great if we would actually do that, but no.we let them have 20 years of appeals, etc etc.Sickening.If your found guilty your guilty, why try to prove otherwise? Whats that say about our so called system?
Strange comments. If this was a Muslim family it wouldn't make the front page. As far as the father in THIS case goes he should be put to death now. How sad for this family.
I read on another sight that the 3yr old victim was the 15yr old's "half" sister (same father, different woman) i can see the father becoming enraged immediately after finding out. . .
First off, it cracks me up when all the bible crackpots say "We're in the final days". It shows they obviously don't even read the book in first place. Otherwise they would know Matthew 24:36 says "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." So to presume we're in the final days is goes against God's word. Maybe you should study your scripture before spouting it.
Second off, this is heinous on many levels. It is sad that the molestation took place. It's sad that the father felt he had to execute his son for the crime. It's especially sad because the son told the mother what he had done, which indicates to me some level of regret. In the presence of that regret, psychological help might have been possible, had justice and following counseling been allowed to take its course. Unfortunately we will never know. I hope the father fries for his execution of his own flesh and blood, and that the families involved find peace.
All i can say is WTF?
Big Mike, you said it so eloquently!
This is just sad, sad, sad all the way around. Nothing like ruining my day. Depressing. My prayers are with all involved.
Wow is this a tough one...I feel for the father. There is nothing worse than molesting a child and for your son to do this would be tough to take.
I feel for the mother to have to watch her son shot to death.
I feel for the 15 yr old. It's obvious the young man had issues and as said before he admitted to his mother what he done so it seems he wanted help.
And of course the victim of the sexual abuse in this case is who you feel for the most. Just a horrible story.
I can't believe that nobody has mention the kid might have done this to the 3 year old because he'd had it done to himself. He was obviously telling his mother because he wanted help. Maybe the dad should have found out who victimized his own poor son and put a bullet in him. Maybe he knew? HMMM
can't imagine a father doing this to his own son. the image is overwhelming. I can honestly say this world is going to he%& in a handbasket
Sick family, sick story, I am sorry I read this.
WTF to say to that indeed.
There aren't words to adequately describe how awful, sad, sick, heartrenching this story truly is. Ugh. It just makes my heart heavy...
I guess he had to put him down
I have to say it again. I am sick over this story.

The boy was most likely abused by his father and the father didn't want it to come out.
I agree w/hitman, the boy learned sexual abuse from somewhere & most likely it was the dad. They need to look into the dad's background & see if he abused his own kid & file more charges.
@hitman & Prochoice..this is what I'm saying. I think he was afraid of his own secrets coming out.
That poor child was trying to not become him.
OMG!! Why don't agitators go to Detroit Free Press and read the story in full. Now you have decided the kid was abused by his Father. Maybe the Mother and Grandma why your at it. About as bad as the car accident last weekend where you had three kids and an adult dead under a sheet. You write your own story to satisfy yourself!!When we kids we use to play a game where you whisper in someones ear and then they do the same and so on and so on and then the last person tells what he heard. Now all grown up and you do it here!!!
What was the point of the father making him get naked? The father is obviously insane and should be raped in prison for many years to come.
This story no doubt has many twist and turns along with a sad ending. I am sure for the victim’s family (should they not be of the same family) are going through their own mixed emotions as well.
What would possess a man to take the life of his son like this is hard to figure. However...if one reads the account of the birth a Christ they can see a similar situation at hand.
When Joseph learned that Mary was with child, he too was mindful to take her out and kill her. In those days the penalty for adulatory was death by stoning. And though Joseph and Mary were only engaged at the time, that engagement was binding as though they were already married. Joseph knowing this however, was not willing to make her a public example (bringing her before the people and airing the laundry out in public) and had such a love for Mary that he would much rather do the job himself in private rather then make a scene of the ordeal. It was not until God revealed to Joseph in a dream that Mary had NOT cheated on him but was found with child of the Holy Ghost that he changed his mind and took her to be his wife.
Not knowing the situation in this family’s lives it might have been that this kid had done similar acts before and the father knowing that while he may have loved his son, he was always going to be a threat to other victims and needed to be stopped. It could have been the father’s thinking that rather then marching the 15 yr old through the legal system and have his get the same and worst in prison and perhaps get out and turn out worst off, chose to handle the matter for himself.
Regardless of how the story leads, it is a sad day when a person takes the life of a family member
His son was old enough to know right from wrong and to find a women his own age. His father was going to make sure it didn't happen again to another poor child. God bless the 3 year old and her family. May the father be shown understanding and a short sentence.
The 3 year old who the son admitted to touching was his half sister...they had the same father. The father was probably outraged that his son had done this to his other child and he probably NO DOUBT had the pressure and anger of the little girl's mother as well as his own anger pushing against his back when he went into his rage and decided to execute his son. Essentially that's what he did, he executed him. His son obviously was sick and needed help and that's what we have laws for, his father is wrong for taking the law into his own hands. I wonder just what HIS criminal record looks like while he's so quick to act as judge, jury and executioner...
On another note...Had the father of the Cleveland rapist who we now know killed at least 11 women had the foresight to have taken his sick jesk of a son out and kill him, would anybody have had any problems with it.
As it stands for now, this Cleveland punk may or may not get the needle, and if so, then some 15 - 20 yrs down the road.
But look at the lives that could have been saved ...if only.
Painter. Stop with all the scriptual stuff. Its boring.
@Dragonlady,
You seriously wrote...."May the father be shown understanding and a short sentence"
?????
Your just as sick as he is.
Man whats the world coming to. It seems everyday I read something that completely out does what I read the day before. I don't know what I would do if my son did that but I am sure I couldn't do what this guy did. I can't figure out which one is sicker the kids actions or the fathers. These are trying times we live in people.
@envirodesignsolutions,
Im with ya on cant decide which is sicker, but two wrongs dont make a right.Sad,very sad.
If someone would have ever raped my chid when any of them were 3, they'd better hope I'd shoot them. I would have been a lot more medival.
Just a few points from the Freep article, as suggested in an earlier post. The parents don't live together. The boy lived with his mother, the father had a new relationship including a 3 year old girl. The boy told his mother what he had done, an unsubstantiated rumor is floating around that the girl was examined at an ER, and showed no indications or evidence of an assault. The boy claimed he didn't rape the girl, and never took off his clothes.
The father is a postal worker.
@frank ~ Ya better go back and read the whole 24th Chapter of Matthew. While it is true that no one knows the exact day or the exact hour ... It also states in that chapter "When you see all these things beginning to happen, you can know that my return is near, even at the doors." "Just as it was in Noah's time before the sudden coming of the flood; people wouldn't believe what was going to happen until the flood actually arrived and took them all away. So shall be my coming be."
Enough said ...
OMG...OMG. This is the worse kind of punishment you could give a child. I fell terrible for both families. The dad must have snapped or was mentally unstable in the first place. I hope something is wrong with him so that there is a reason he thought it was okay to execute his son. I bet the mom feels terrible for calling the dad.
To frank:
(Matthew 24:3, 36) After making a comparison between the destruction of the wicked world of mankind in Noah’s day and the destruction that would take place during “the presence of the Son of man,” Jesus stated: “Keep on the watch, therefore, because you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.”—Matthew 24:39, 42.
So while the exact time of the coming end of this “system of things” has not been revealed to us, “the sign” that Jesus gave would let us know when we are in the time period known as “the last days.” (2 Timothy 3:1) It would be a time to “keep awake” so that we “may succeed in escaping all these things that are destined to occur.”—Luke 21:36.
The fact that we are living in the last days is not a presumptuous reflex to an article of this magnitude. It is true, Jesus said that no man knows the day or the hour as to when the end of the system of things would be. However, his disciples privately asked him when his "presence" in the last days would be(Math 24:3). Jesus went on to give a composite sign as to what "events" would be happening in the last days leading to the “conclusion of the system of things”.(Math 24: 4 - 14). He talked about wars, food shortages, diseases, and most of all the preaching of the good news on a world wide scale(Math 24:14). These all make up the composite sign of when the last days would be. Also, take a look at 2Tim 3:1-5. It talks about what peoples attitude would be in the last days. Notice 2Tim 3:2,3 describes the situation with this man and his son pretty accurately.......
I'm thinking maybe the father did something similar to his son and didn't want it to come out when he found out his son did this! Usually when someone sexually abuses it's because they themselves had been abused. Such a sad situation...my heart goes out to the mother...
Many people have stated in their comments about justice......People are unaware that this boy had a psychological disorder and was crying out for help....How do we not know this was a learned behavior from his father(monster) A man who lived a law abiding life would never just shoot his child while they were crying out for help...And what type of mother just stands there and lets it happen....I'm a mother and I would have jumped in front of the bullet for my child....the father had time to make him undress which means the mother had time to react by grabbing an object or calling police.....Most people stated we will hear more of this story and we will.....Police will start to dig in this families background and uncover things that will turn this comfusion into sense.
Stop trying to guess what might have happened and go to Detroit Free Press and read. There you will find at least five articles explaining many of your "guesses".Why he was naked, why the Mother didn't jump in front, when and where this abuse took place etc etc etc. Some of you continually try to make the story up to sound the way you want it to read. Go read and then make your stories up!!
Big Apples was right!
Go read story. it was his half sister and also the hospital found no trauma to the 3 yr old at all. the boy said he had his clothes on the whole time. What a sad sad story. Below is article
http://freep.com/article/20091119/NEWS02/911190378/1322/Father-is-accused-of--killing-teen
The article is not true the man's girlfriend told the man the boy touched her daughter inappropriately. Doctors have determined nothing happened to the daughter. He killed him the tried to call the girlfriend to tell her and called boys mother by accident and told her I took care of it. SMDH.... He killed his own son because of what his girlfriend said or thought. All you that said good and the boy deserved it should be ashamed. This is why you don't take the law in you own hands. May he fry in the pits of hell for what he did to his own son.
I believe that anyone who rapes a child should be taken out and shot and not be given years in prison to be released to do it again to more children. But there seems to be more to the story than the article here is telling.
@dragonlady & others ... This boy did not rape anyone! He was killed/executed by his own father! No matter how you twist this ... There is NO defence for this fathers actions!
On the other side of the coin is the boy will not be a repeat sexual offender
there is more to this story people. nobody should be judged, tried & executed until all the facts are proved true. especially when it deals with what children say. this has got to be the saddest story that i have ever heard of. & if the boy did nothing, what then? can't bring him back can we.
an eye for an eye makes everybody blind!
How awful!!!
Its hard to believe news print! It's full of half truths.
I can not lie, there is a part of me that says, What If.... It was my daughter and I knew something like this happened with my kids... I can honestly say I would be extremly upset. But to do what this man did to his own flesh and blood.. I just dont agree with this at all.... The kid needed help and the help his father gave him was nothing short of cruel and heartless. I also agree with previous posts about why he may have done this to cover something he may or may have not been responsible for... Not sure because I am not involved and only God and this family will ever know this. I can only say we need to pray for these families, and pray for our own families.
All child molesters should get the death penalty.
This is sch a devestating story, was t father wrong for killing his son due to the circumstances, YES how could you murde our own child...the father def. had some problems and that is prob. also what was wrong with the child to molest a 3 yr old girl I would hurt someone if they touched my daughter but to kill them, more then ikly not but he would have been punished.
The father should be taken out and shot the same way!
The article said "his 15-year-old son had sexual contact with a 3-year-old girl" but like I said in my 2nd post from reading the other posts there seems to be more to this than this article says.
I don't believe people who commit sex crimes can be helped. They are like any other addict and criminal they can do it again. The father was wrong not taking him to the police but I can see his point and the boy will not be let free to do anything like that again to any other child. It is sad for all.
http://freep.com/article/20091119/NEWS02/911190378/1322/Father-is-accused-of--killing-teen
Sorry I didn't mean to post that, I was going to read it.
No "man" ever brought anyone in to the world by himself. These cowardly types need to be put away. How about a very large wilderness space, walled in, put em in there and let them fend for themselves. No food or shelter--they are on their own.
Jamar Pinkney Sr. for JUDGE
This is clearly a case of economic stress resulting from Obama's failed Porkulus.
Some of the comments on this board show the level of jumping to conclusions before the facts are brought forth. Hum... sounds a lot like the father who shot the son.

"No "man" ever brought anyone in to the world by himself. These cowardly types need to be put away."
Since you brought it up, neither did any "woman". And they should face the death penalty just like men do, for the same crimes. Rarely happens though.
i can honestly say that i am so sorry i read this story. HORRIBLE!!!
I'm sure I'm going to catch heck for this, but if you rape a baby you SHOULD be killed. Although the fact that the father did is pretty sick, but at least the kids gone and not going to touch my 5 year old daughter. The kid begged for his life, I'm sure that little girl was begging and crying for innocence to be saved. To many perverted sickos in the world, not enough fathers to OFF them.
Boy I thought I had it rough growing up. Sounds like this kids dad was a no nonsense type of Guy. Well the son won't do it again.
Prozak, Get off the drugs. It's affecting your Brain.
Yes, its obvious. Every 15 year old boy who is accused of molestation by his estranged father's new girlfriend should immediately be executed. We can find out what exactly constitutes molestation, and determine whether or not it actually occurred later.
Any "father" who could blow away his 15 year old child who is begging for his life, is one sick bast.. no matter what the kid has done. Who has less remourse - the father who makes no apology or the child who confessed to his mother. The father who killed his own child without remourse is a bigger threat to society than the kid who felt guity for "inappropriately touching" a younger child.
For the TENTH time...those jumping to their own conclusions and delusions of what they THINK happened: if you have such strong opinions, google the story and read more statements that have been released.
@ATEOLOCK: You are wasting your oxygen. You can't get blood from some of these turnips. Telling them to Google the story is too difficult. They'd rather make rude and crude comments to try and get a cheap laugh!!
after reading all the articles on the freep site, the dad really jumped to conclusions .
unfreekingbelievable
The father has some skeletons in his closet that would have been revealed if this kid were to be arrested for this act. He was looking after his own skin. How sad that he would put himself first before his own son. We all need to look to our higher power.
and practice our faith. Only then these horrible things would be unheard of.
"Forgive them Lord, for they do not know."
@all the people who think some of us are jumping to conclusions and think that article was so informative. Not so much. Didn't say anything except that the child's clothes didn't come off and there's no record of a report. So? The boy was crying out for help for some reason. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. We're no better than the dad, but then we're not going to shoot our own children. Get a clue.
After reading some of te religously bent post, I can only paraphrase George Carlin. "There's a man in the sky that keeps track of All that we do. If we don't follow a precise set of rules, we will burn forever; but heloves us..."
We're always callling for the pedophiles to be eliminated from the gene pool.....and it happened.
The difference here is this type of swift justice is usually doled out in the Middle East.
...anyone who assaults a 3 year old obviously has an evil streak in them...good chance this boys father saw that and was just preventing any further sick acts...i am not saying it was right...i can honestly say that if i was in that position i don't know what i might do
Good for the dad. I'm glad the name of his defense attorney was listed. I'm going to contact them and send them a donation towards his defense fund.
my sympathy to all family & friends & for the innocent child. This should be a real wake up call to everbody. Where were the parents, or adult who was in charge of protecting the child? As parents, children should NEVER & I repeat NEVER be behind closed doors beacuse anyhting can happen when they are alone. How many people are too busy hustling around doing their every day things & not paying attention to the children who are innocent, WE...as adults "OWE IT" to them to protect them from these kinds of things happening. STOP & take the time to ensure that all our children are safe from ones that can hurt our children. It starts with YOU!!!
Outstanding!!!
We need more enforcement like this of the moral rules of life.
The trial is over!!!
No cost to the taxpayers
@Reality 2 electric bogaloo - You are an example of what is wrong with our world...sicko!
Also, if you know anything about child sexual abuse, the 15 year old didn't decide to just one day become an offender. The prosecutor needs to grow a brain and put 2 and 2 together. Dad has been sexually abusing his son and killed him to keep his mouth shut. Children learn what they live and in this case, the kid was murdered by his teacher.
Kill dad for killing his son. This is so obvious yet it flies over the heads of most of you because you are so hung up on anything related to sex and want this world run by your irrational emotions of "ooohhh, ain't it awful'"

"There wasn’t a rape, Cherry said her son told her. But he confessed to his mother that he knew lying on top of the baby was wrong, she said"
It also said he didn't even take off his clothes.
I'm NOT saying what the boy did was ok - far from it. However, it doesn't sound like an incident that warrented a death penalty either. The boy was asking for help and if he had a chance to get it, maybe he would have been ok. Although I agree, he should have never again been alone with kids.
This story makes me sad and sick. I think that both the father and the girl's mother need to be evaluated. From what I read, they probably both over-reacted. And yes - I know I may take heat for saying that - but murdering the boy was pretty drastic.
extreme drastic - I can't imagine shooting any child who was begging for life, especially your own.
sick monster...
@Jason; Where oh where oh where do you come up with your information to make the statements you post? Your personal opinions are definitely not factual statements. You should definitely do some real research before making blanket statements.I read two I know for a proven fact are wrong. Do yourself a favor and check before you insert your foot next time!!
You bible thumpers make me sick.
@stleo,
who is George Carlin compared to the Almighty? Also George is wrong because the Almighty clearly "hates those loving violence"(Plsm 11:5 - "God himself examines the righteous one as well as the wicked one, And anyone loving violence His soul certainly hates"). You obviously do not believe in God. If you did, and you knew Him, you would not disrespect Him like that....
@Steve,
No comment to you. You are entitled to your opinion like the rest of us.....
@stleo,
Sorry, it took me a minute to catch up to the sarcasm in the George Carlin comment..........
Consider this.......... The teaching that one burns in a hell fire is a lie, plain and simple. The bible does not teach that. Some believe in the immortality of the soul, or that some part of you lives forever after death. Basically, when a person dies, they cease to exist. They do not burn in some type of hell. Eccl 9:5 says "For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten" Notice it says that the dead are conscious of nothing. Therefore, they do not burn in some type of hell fire, forever. That would not be loving for God to burn people forever for 70, 80, or even 90yrs of badness. The bible clearly says that “God is love”(1John 4:8). If there was an actual “Hell” where people burned forever, one would be forced to ask, “if God is loving, why would He torture someone for that amount of time?....... That being said, God does hold out the hope of a resurrection(John 5:28,29), and life on a paradise earth(Pslm 37:11).
Sounds like two birds with one stone.
Another jac**ss with a gun kills someone. Fry him!
There should be no debate about this. The father should now face justice for first degree murder. Period. Otherwise, we will become just like a third-world mideast country ruled by religious zealots. Oh, and by the way, what if the kid was innocent? Creeeeeepy.
I bet the 3 year old was a relative. seems like the father snapped. I no it was a better way to handle this. the little girl i bet was family. wish i could read more on this story. what a serious shame. there was a better way to handle this then to take a life.
Let the Father FREE!!! He took care of business!! Got rid of a evil person in this world. Wish there was more people like him. Crime would not be an issue!!
@Kenmore_87
You are absolutely right, we do not burn forever in a hellfire as I had been taught as a child.
When asked why is there so much evil in this world, one only has to remember what he was taught in church as a kid and read the first page of your bible. We learn as children "Satan" was a fallen angel of GODs army right? Who was then banished to the "Darkness" to crawl along the ground like a serpent. Right? Ok, so then where exactly does "GOD" decide to put the "Earth" he wanted to make? Right in the "Darkness" where he put "Satan". So then he makes Adam and Eve, who got tempted to disobey God, by non other than, yep you guessed it, A SERPENT!! Hmm, maybe there is a lot of evil in this world because this world is actually HELL!
As for "The End of Days"...people have been preaching about that since "The Beginning of Days"...as for the story, what else can be said? 100 years ago this punishment would've probably fit the crime, but today as parents we are not allowed to punish our children w/out first "getting permission". Society tells us we are accountable for our child's actions, but yet when we try to punish them, we get prosecuted. I blame it all on society. Like Whitney Huston said, "Our children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the way." Parents should be held accountable for the children and should be able to punish them how they see fit. Period.
Maybe the son learned "improper sexual conduct" from the father.
Defense attorney Corbett O'Meara said prosecutors should consider evidence of the father's state of mind over the sex abuse report.
Murder is murder. The poor excuse of man and father had no right to take his own son's life.
to TerrahbleTerrah,
Actually God's original purpose for the earth was not meant for it to be filled with badness(Like we see today in the case of this father and his son). His original purpose was for the entire earth to be made into a paradise filled with people who love and appreciate Him(Gen 1:28). Also, ones would use the gift of freedom of choice in a responsible way. Using freedom of choice irresponsibly involves following a course contrary to God's will(Jer 10:23). Anyone who claims to love and appreciate the Almighty will accept this as fact and truth(Prov 3:5; 1John 5:3). Notice the type of start God gave Adam and Eve(Gen: 1,2).His creation met his standards(Gen 1:31). They had a perfect start in a beautiful Garden home built by the Almighty Himself(Gen 2:8). Notice the first human murder did not occur until after Adam and Eve disobeyed their creator and were consequently banished from their paradise home. Shortly after, Cain committed the first murder, killing his brother Able(Gen 4:8). Really though God warned Cain to straighten up his attitude and do what was right. He warned Cain that if he did not, something bad would happen(Gen 4:6-7). Cain choose to ignore God’s counsel and the result speaks for itself. Again, God tried to prevent that sad event with divine counsel. God still gives counsel in his word the bible. If people actually followed it, events like this would not happen, because people would practice love and not hate (1John 4:8)........
this proabally isnt the first time this boy and his father have been at odds, the dad just lost it.. sad story, i feel bad for the mom,she will proabally end up commiting suicide over this.
