The high wind warning from Superstorm Sandy, which was a hurricane Monday, has been canceled for the Akron area.
A flood watch for most of Northern Ohio will remain in effect through tonight.
More than 2.5 inches of rain have fallen on the area as measured at the Akron-Canton Airport since the rain started late Friday and early Saturday morning, according to data from the National Weather Service at the airport. More than a half-inch of rain has fallen since midnight Monday.
As much as 2 more inches of rain could fall over the next three days, the weather service said.
The highest gust recorded at Akron-Canton Airport since the wind warning was issued was 47 mph at 11 p.m. Monday, National Weather Service meteorologist John Mayers said.
