The following report is generated from crime data submitted to the FBI's Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) program. The data gives the number of offenses known to law enforcement for agencies having a resident population of 100,000 and over for the first six months of 2008 with comparable data for 2007, where available. All data in this report are preliminary. This report does not reflect all crime as the voluntary UCR program only collects data on eight offense types and then only counts the most serious offense when numerous crimes are reported on the same police report.
