A Lake Street man, 28, was charged with failure to comply, possession of cocaine, possession of heroin, possession of ecstasy, possession of marijuana, obstruction of official business and resisting arrest. Police said he failed to stop when signaled by officers for a traffic violation and led authorities on a motorcycle chase that ended in a crash. The man fought with officers during his arrest. Police said he had several drugs on his possession.
A Fultz Avenue woman, 36, was charged with felonious assault, resisting arrest and obstructing official business after she allegedly attacked a police officer who accompanied a man to retrieve property from the home. She allegedly slammed the door on the officer, hitting him in the face and foot. When he tried to arrest her, she scratched him under the left eye and on the cheek, police said.
A Garfield Heights man, 36, was charged with felonious assault, abduction and criminal damaging. Police said he took a woman’s cell phone, then pinned her arm against his car and drove off with her hanging on. The man drove a block, pulled into a parking and dropped her onto concrete, where she hit her head. She was treated at Summa Akron City Hospital.
A Winton Avenue man, 24, was charged with willfully fleeing police after he allegedly backed his car into a cruiser and drove left of center against oncoming traffic. Police said he led them on a high-speed chase from Morse Street to Hawkins Avenue before pulling over.
A Nathan Street man, 63, was charged with importuning and gross sexual imposition after he allegedly asked a 10-year-old girl to fondle him.
A Sumner Street man, 19, was charged with theft after he allegedly stole from workers’ purses at Macy’s while working on a cleaning crew.

A Tricaso Drive resident gave a $1,750 check to a man identifying himself as an asphalt contractor. The woman thought her son had made the arrangements with an acquaintance. The work was worth only $225.
A Midland Avenue man was charged with felonious assault Aug. 19 after he allegedly pushed a man and hit him several times in the face at Howie’s on the Lake on Coleman Drive.
A West House Drive man, 21, was charged with assault Aug. 19 after he allegedly punched a man in the parking lot of the Upper Deck Sports Bar and Grille on West Turkeyfoot Lake Road.
Two men got in a fistfight in the parking lot of a Cleveland-Massillon Road pharmacy after a road rage incident Aug. 27. The man who started the fight said the second man cut him off and made an obscene gesture. The second man declined to file charges.
