Police said he was leaving the scene of a fight on Massillon Road and while officers were gathering information, the man started gagging and spit out a small plastic bag that contained 5 grams of heroin.

Two Akron women, 22 and 21, were charged with theft Jan. 28. Police said they stole $596 in clothing from Macy’s at Summit Mall. The theft was discovered during a traffic stop, when officers noticed a pile of clothes in the back seat.
An Akron woman, 21, was charged with theft Jan. 28. While working at Sam’s Club she was caught taking money from the cash register on two occasions. She stole a total of $140, police said.
A Barrington Road man, 33, was charged with theft Jan. 27 after he allegedly tried to conceal two bottles of alcohol under his jacket and leave a store. He also was charged with trespassing because he had been banned from the store in 2012.

A Traphagen Street Northwest man, 24, was charged with aggravated menacing and criminal mischief after police found him passed out behind the wheel of a car at the Marathon station on Wales Avenue Northwest. When officers awakened him, he allegedly became combative and threatened serious physical harm to an officer and his family.
A Stuart Street Northwest man was charged with felony domestic violence Jan. 20 after he allegedly threw a bottle and lighter at his pregnant girlfriend.
Police charged a Perry Township man, 45, with felony carrying a concealed weapon after officers found a .380-caliber semiautomatic handgun under the passenger’s front seat of a vehicle stopped in the 8300 block of Strausser Street Northwest on Jan. 18. A passenger, a Lincoln Way East resident, admitted the weapon was his and that he did not have a concealed-carry permit, police said.

Stark County deputies said he tried to conceal the weapon behind a washer and dryer in the basement.
