A Berwin Street man, 19, was charged with failure to comply after he allegedly led police on a car chase. Officers said the chase began at North Howard Street and East Mildred Avenue and ended at Laird Street and North Martha Avenue. Police said the man was driving without a license.
A Diagonal Road man, 31, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possessing weapons illegally, improper handling of a gun in a motor vehicle and driving under the influence. Police said he was observed driving at a high speed on Hardesty Boulevard.
A Laffer Avenue man, 21, was charged with burglary and receiving stolen property after he allegedly broke into a Hardesty Boulevard home. Police said he was carrying stolen property when they stopped him in a backyard. A further check of the yard revealed a hidden cache of stolen items from a previous burglary, including a television and Xbox console.
A Berghoff Street man, 23, was charged with robbery after he allegedly assaulted a man and took a wallet containing $230.
A Cleveland man, 19, was charged with receiving stolen property and obstructing official business after he allegedly ran from a stolen car during a traffic stop. He was apprehended after a short chase.

A Rothrock Circle man, 35, was charged with domestic abuse July 26 after he allegedly injured his wife’s arms and knees during a quarrel over a bake sale. The husband was intoxicated, police said.
An Akron man, 24, told police that his ex-girlfriend, 39, damaged his vehicle July 30. She was last seen leaving the scene in a Dodge Ram.
A pastor told police that someone broke into Copley Baptist Temple on July 29 and stole a Fender jazz guitar worth $500.
An Akron man, 56, told police July 27 that someone tried to complete a credit card application in his mother’s name. A Canton, woman, 37, admitted to filling out the application, but said she never used the card.

Two women allegedly broke into a clubhouse at an Americana Drive apartment complex July 30, knocked over chairs and took a can of Pepsi.
Someone broke into a 23rd Street home July 30 and took laundry supplies from the basement.
A small amount of cash and prescription medication were taken July 31 from an apartment in the 3400 block of Prange Drive.
A Parma woman told police July 28 that someone took her wallet at Sheetz, 1210 Main St., and used a credit card inside to make $300 in unauthorized purchases.
An Akron woman, 32, was charged with theft July 30 after she allegedly took $237 in items from the women’s and electronics department at Target. She tried to hide the items in her purse, but was apprehended by store security, police said. She was banned from Target forever.
An Akron woman, 26, was charged with theft July 26 after she allegedly loaded a shopping cart full of $908 in merchandise and walked out of Walmart. She has been banned from the store for one year.
An Akron woman, 27, was charged with theft July 25 after she allegedly tried to conceal $95 in clothes in her purse at the men’s section in Dillard’s at Summit Mall. She has been banned from Dillard’s indefinitely.
A $1,500 laptop computer was reported stolen July 24 from the International Parkway offices of ASC Industries.
A break-in was reported July 26 at a home in the first block of Lake Forest Drive. Several items were stolen.
A Grove Road woman told police July 20 that someone took a diamond ring, necklace, two watches and a class ring, total value $3,250, from her home June 20 to July 20.
Jewelry valued at $8,000 was taken from a Roop Avenue home July 27-30. A relative admitted to taking the jewelry and pawning it for $645, police said.
A Walbridge Drive resident, 28, was charged with robbery and theft July 22 after he allegedly entered the Mash Oil convenience store on South Arlington Road, made a purchase and then grabbed $242 from a cash register and fled in a vehicle.
A Fettro Road man, 18, was charged with breaking and entering, theft and criminal damaging July 22, two days after he allegedly stole a bicycle from a garage on Beechwood Drive. The bicycle was recovered.

A North Thomas Road man, 21, was charged with shooting an air gun behind his home July 30. Officers reported seeing the man shoot bottles and cans, but later discovered he shot multiple juveniles with the BB gun. The parents of the youths wanted no police involvement, because they were afraid the man would retaliate against them.
An Akron man, 18, of Chalker Street, was charged with two counts of receiving stolen property July 30 after he allegedly was pulled over in a 2005 Honda Accord reported stolen July 13 from the 1000 block of Lawndale Drive. He also was charged with stealing two credit cards and a set of golf clubs from a car in the 700 block of Premiera Drive the following day. The credit cards were used that night to make $46 in purchases at Speedway.
Two vehicles were reported stolen July 29 in incidents that could be related. A 2007 Ford F-150 Terrapin Landscaping truck was reported stolen about 2 a.m. and found in the 100 block of Bierce Drive the next day. A 2010 Chevrolet Silverado was stolen at 7 a.m. July 29 from a Mark Drive home and recovered later in the day in the 300 block of Northwest Avenue.

A North Canal Street man, 26, was arrested July 25 on a warrant alleging he endangered children. He was arrested at the Canal Boat Lounge on South Locust Street.

A Glenmoor Road Northwest woman was charged with domestic violence July 25 after she allegedly attacked her husband outside a home on Fox Chase Avenue Northwest.
A Chippewa Avenue Northwest man, 26, was arrested July 20 on a warrant charging him with breaking and entering and criminal damaging.
A Pawnee Street Northwest man, 49, was arrested on a stalking warrant July 19 as he walked along Portage Street Northwest near Frank Avenue.

A Fulton Drive Northwest man told police July 23 that someone pried a lock off a barn on Charring Court Circle Northwest and stole a backpack blower, tools and equipment, total value $650. Two string trimmers, total value $250, were in nearby weeds.
Tools valued at $815 were reported stolen July 23 from a detached garage on Walbrook Street Northwest.
A worker allegedly stole $1,700 from Honey Baked Ham on Dressler Road Northwest. A store spokesman said the worker canceled several purchase transactions and kept the cash.
A Kent resident told police July 19 that he lent an air-conditioning unit and hand tools, total value $520, to a Jackson Township resident who has refused to return them.
A Weygandt Street man, 29, was charged with domestic violence July 20 after he allegedly slammed a woman’s head against a gravel driveway and stomped on her phone.
An Orrville man, 28, was arrested July 20 on a felony warrant alleging theft, safecracking and breaking and entering.
An Elmwood Avenue Southwest man, 38, was charged with domestic violence July 22 after he allegedly grabbed a woman by her arms, pushed her and hit her on the side of the head with a gun case.
Police were investigating a break-in and fire at the First Friends Church on Market Avenue North. Vandals forced open three storage areas of a pavilion July 22, causing $900 in damage. The intruders spray-painted several walls and 17 picnic tables, and set fire to a portable toilet.
A West Maple Street woman told police that she paid a contractor $7,100 to have her roof fixed last fall. She said the repairs were started, but the man never finished the work.
A Cathy Drive Northeast man, 43, was charged with domestic violence and criminal damaging July 24 after he allegedly struck a person in the throat and caused $500 in damage to a car.

A state Route 43 man, 26, was charged July 29 with two counts of receiving stolen property, driving the wrong way on a one-way street, driving under suspension and having license plates belonging to someone else.
Three Wadsworth men were charged with theft and complicity to theft July 27 on Interstate 76 at Tallmadge Road. An East Walnut Street man, 37, was charged with felony theft and another East Walnut Street man, 31, and an East Bergey Street man were charged with complicity.
A South Water Street man, 20, was arrested July 24 on a marijuana trafficking warrant.

A Kent man, 39, of Meloy Road, was charged July 30 with burglary after he allegedly broke into a Shalersville home in the 9200 block of Coit Road and stole items. An arrest warrant was issued for his brother, 31, of Madison, who allegedly assisted in the burglary.
An East Bergey Street man, 24, was charged with domestic violence July 30 after he allegedly assaulted a member of his household.
A home in the 200 block of Park Place Drive was ransacked July 31.

A snow blower, a lawnmower and other items, total value $500, were reported stolen July 25 from Mount Zion Church of God, 837 S. Geyers Chapel Road, Wooster Township.
Two televisions, a laptop computer and other items, total value $5,909, were reported stolen July 28 from a home in the 13300 block of Hatfield Road, Chippewa Township.
A four-wheeler valued at $6,019 was reported stolen July 28 from a home in the 6700 block of West Salem Road, Congress Township.
A Wooster man, 46, was charged with failure to comply, obstructing official business and resisting arrest July 26 after he allegedly led officers on a high-speed chase through the northern part of the city. He was arrested in the 2500 block of Monterey Street after striking a stop sign.
A bullet hole was found July 30 in a third-floor window of Arti-Flex Factory, a division of Gerstenslager, 1425 E. Bowman St. The incident was described as a random shot.
A Wooster man, 38, was released from Wooster Community Hospital on July 26 after he was treated for a gunshot wound in the lower back. He was shot near North Columbus and Saybolt avenues during a dispute with two other men. The three had been at a strip club, where they got into a fight.
