Domestic violence/assault

Mary L. Easley, 45, of West York Street, was charged Nov. 16 with domestic violence, accused of striking her daughter with a brick.

Demetrius D. Garrett, 33, of the 600 block of Schiller Avenue, was charged Nov. 15 with domestic violence, accused of threatening to blow up a woman's house with a bomb.

Melvin C. Moore, 25, of the 1100 block of Nome Avenue, was charged Nov. 15 with domestic violence over a Nov. 9 incident in which police said Moore pushed a woman's head through a wall and beat her on the head.

Dawn Collins, 32, of the 1200 block of Moore Street, was charged Nov. 14 with domestic violence, accused of pushing her boyfriend down, striking him with her purse and hitting him.

Anthony J. Anderson, 23, of the 1200 block of Morningview Avenue, was charged Nov. 13 with domestic violence and disrupting public services, accused of cutting a phone line.

Harold D. Taylor, 39, of the 1000 block of Middlecoff Drive, was charged Nov. 12 with domestic violence and domestic violence/menacing.

Tyqwon M. Pinckney, 21, of the 800 block of Orrin Street, was charged Nov. 12 with domestic violence and burglary.

William C. Mays, 43, of the 800 block of Avon Street, was charged Nov. 12 with felonious assault after police were called to St. Thomas Hospital. According to police, a victim had been struck in the head.

A 59-year-old man was shot as he got off a bus in the 200 block of Madison Avenue on Nov. 12. Police reports said two men had approached the man and shot him.

A 16-year-old Sumner Street boy was charged Nov. 12 with assault and possession of marijuana. He was accused of attacking a 23-year-old white man near East South and Sumner streets after he saw the man walking with a black woman. A 13-year-old Sumner Street boy also was charged with aggravated menacing, accused of holding his hand inside his waistband during the assault, as if he had a gun.

Mark J. Nichols, 45, of the 900 block of Seneca Place, was charged Nov. 11 with two counts of domestic violence, aggravated menacing and using weapons while intoxicated. He is accused of striking a woman in the face with his head and threatening her with a loaded gun.

Nixon C. Bell, 24, of Oakwood Village was charged Nov. 11 with two counts of domestic violence. He is accused of punching his girlfriend in the abdomen and arms, pushing her into a wall and threatening to kill her.

N. Joelicia Russel, 23, of the 900 block of Cole Avenue, was charged Nov. 10 with domestic violence. She is accused of entering her stepfather's bedroom while he was sleeping and striking him with a coffee cup.

A 17-year-old Eastholm Avenue girl was charged Nov. 10 with domestic violence. She is accused of punching her mother in the back of the head while the woman was in the driver's seat of a vehicle and the girl was in the back seat, the report said.

Miles Cargill III, 24, of the 700 block of La Follette Street, was charged Nov. 10 with domestic violence, accused of punching his sister several times and trying to choke her.

Jen Temple, 19, of the 2100 block of Cross Creek Trail, was charged Nov. 9 with domestic violence. She is accused of punching her mother several times in the face, kicking her repeatedly in the legs, smashing her finger and ripping her shirt.

Michael Scott, 36, of the 400 block of Madison Avenue, was charged Nov. 9 with felonious assault and resisting arrest. He is accused of brandishing a knife to a man's torso and threatening to cut him.

Kenneth L. Coble, 57, of the 400 block of Adkins Avenue, was charged Nov. 8 with domestic violence, accused of striking his wife in the head with a flashlight.

Theft offenses

An 81-year-old Kenmore Boulevard woman told police Nov. 15 that she had been robbed by a man who came to visit her and asked for a sandwich. According to the report, he grabbed the woman's purse, and as he left, the woman grabbed his jacket, and he pushed her down.

A burglar stole CDs, DVDs, a safe, jewelry and tools Nov. 15 from a residence and garage in the 1900 block of Hillside Terrace.

Jeffrey B. Brown, 42, of the 800 block of Stadelman Avenue, was charged Nov. 15 with theft and criminal trespass, accused of concealing $465 worth of clothing under his jacket at J.C. Penney in Chapel Hill Mall, 2000 Brittain Road.

Lindsay L. Holtkamp, 19, of Bath Township, and Colleen M. Cordy, 20, of Copley Township, on Nov. 15 were ordered to court on a theft charge alleging they placed $99.43 worth of merchandise in their pants pockets at Macy's in Rolling Acres Mall, 2400 Romig Road.

A woman was robbed at gunpoint Nov. 14 at a residence in the 800 block of Work Drive. Police said the victim was in the foyer of her duplex when a man pulled a handgun and made her get on the floor and empty her pockets. He took $300, reports said.

A Johnston Street man told police Nov. 13 that two men knocked at his door and put guns to his head when he answered. They took $590 and fled, reports said.

Jazzmon C. Hood, 23, of the 500 block of Blaine Avenue, and Towanna C. Hood, 26, of the 700 block of Anderson Avenue, were charged Nov. 13 with robbery. According to reports, Towanna Hood punched a man and Jazzmon Hood sprayed him with pepper spray, reports said. His cell phone and keys were taken.

Police said someone entered Building 9, 945 S. Main St., through a window on Nov. 13 and took $350 cash from an office.

Someone pried open a door and broke out window panes Nov. 13 at Allstate, 696 S. Canton Road, then took $467.36 cash and $1,109.15 in checks and money orders, police reported.

A loss of more than $5,000 was reported in a Nov. 12 burglary in the 1400 block of Newton Street. Police said someone damaged the door and then took electronics and cash.

A $1,500 plasma TV, video game systems and games and 200 DVDs were stolen in a Nov. 12 burglary in the 1300 block of Herberich Avenue.

A Columbus man was robbed by two men Nov. 10 near Storer Avenue and Copley Road. According to police, one asked him if he had a dime, and the other grabbed him from behind. He was then punched in the face, knocked down and held there by one of the men as the other punched and kicked him, then went through his pockets. They fled with nothing.

Centenary United Methodist Church and Wonder World Child Development Center, both at 1310 Superior Ave., reported burglaries Nov. 10 in which speakers, a computer system, $1,000 worth of meat and two bags containing CPR equipment were stolen. Entry was gained by forcing open a window.

The owner of Wing Warehouse, 1300 E. Tallmadge Ave., was robbed Nov. 10 by a man wearing a Halloween mask. The robber approached the victim near his car, pointed a gun at him and demanded his briefcase and car keys. The thief fled on foot with the briefcase that contained $5,500 cash, reports said.

Linda F. Owens, 44, of the 200 block of East Miller Avenue, was charged Nov. 10 with theft and menacing. She is accused of placing two watches valued at $40 in her pocket and leaving Sears in Rolling Acres Mall, 2400 Romig Road. She allegedly threatened security personnel.

Teri L. Jones, 43, of the 900 block of Ella Court, was charged Nov. 10 with theft and criminal trespass, accused of hiding seven steaks valued at $62.68 in her purse at Acme, 2147 East Avenue.

Someone entered a locker Nov. 9 during a football scrimmage at Garfield High School, 435 N. Firestone Blvd., and took an iPod and a cell phone.

Approximately 15 catalytic converters were reported stolen Nov. 8 from vehicles at Brown's Auto, 2909 Mogadore Road.

A 70-year-old woman told police Nov. 8 that she was robbed of her purse as she entered her home. The purse contained $500, reports said.

Drugs

Darius J. Anderson, 19, of the 800 block of Leonard Street, was charged Nov. 15 with trafficking in drugs, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said Anderson and two other people were hanging out in front of a vacant residence in the 800 block of Bellevue Avenue.

Jerry H. Maust, 45, of the 1200 block of Welton Avenue, was charged Nov. 15 with possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said they saw Maust stop briefly to talk to a man at South Arlington and Milton streets, in what appeared to be a transaction.

Freddie L. Robbins Sr., 46, of the 100 block of Harter Avenue, was charged Nov. 13 with receiving stolen property and possession of drugs, marijuana, drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia.

Willie Fletcher Jr., 23, of the 400 block of North Howard Street, was charged Nov. 13 with trafficking in drugs and possession of marijuana and criminal tools.

Dwight Price, 50, of the 300 block of Prasch Alley, was charged Nov. 8 with trafficking in heroin and possession of heroin, marijuana and criminal tools.

Percy Robinson, 61, of the 300 block of South Arlington Street, was charged Nov. 5 with possession of heroin and criminal tools and illegal possession of weapons.

Miscellaneous

Michele R. Dean, 41, of the 1000 block of Neville Avenue, was charged Nov. 16 with loitering for sexual activity and drug abuse/marijuana. Police said Dean got into a vehicle at South Arlington Street and Triplett Boulevard and offered oral sex to an undercover officer.

Nanette Lampley, 31, of the 600 block of Johnston Court, and Lester Shaw, 40, of the 600 block of Talbot Street, were charged Nov. 16 with prostitution. Police said the two were engaged in oral sex for hire near Cleveland and Johnston streets.

Chrystal M. Monday, 36, of the 100 block of Fulton Street, was charged Nov. 15 with solicitation. She is accused of offering oral sex to an undercover officer at Johnston and Brunee streets.

A 43-year-old homeless woman, Theresa L. Byard, was charged Nov. 14 with solicitation after she allegedly offered oral sex to an undercover officer at Johnston and Black streets.

Shana Parker, 24, of the 700 block of Bertha Avenue, was charged Nov. 14 with loitering for solicitation.

Charles R. White, 46, of the 700 block of Hazel Street, was charged Nov. 14 with public indecency and littering.
