Domestic violence/assault

Jason A. Johnson, 32, of the 100 block of Jewett Street, was charged Nov. 29 with felonious assault. Johnson is accused of hitting an individual in the face, causing facial fractures. The victim required surgery, reports said.

Phillip C. Kleismut, 19, of Windham, was charged Nov. 28 with felonious assault. He is accused of punching a man several times in the face on Nov. 3. The victim reportedly suffered several fractures, requiring surgery and rehabilitation.

David L. Bailey, 33, of the 2200 block of Savoy Avenue, was charged Nov. 28 with domestic violence and domestic violence-menacing. Bailey is accused of choking his girlfriend and threatening her with a knife.

Kirk Thornton, 46, of the 700 block of Thornton Street, was charged Nov. 27 with domestic violence. He is accused of threatening his wife and pushing her down.

Terence M. Fitch, 24, of the 800 block of White Pine Drive, was charged Nov. 26 with domestic violence. He is accused of pushing his girlfriend to the ground and struggling with her. She had scratches, redness and swelling, reports said.

Jeremy P. Huth, 36, of the 2400 block of Meadow Spring Circle, was charged Nov. 26 with two counts of felonious assault and criminal damaging. He is accused of striking a man and a woman with his vehicle on Oct. 31 and then running the vehicle into the door of the Cliffside Bar after the two fled inside. After the incident, police said, he drove to Florida and was arrested by the U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force when he returned to Ohio.

Merle J. Wodicka, 34, of Davenport Avenue, was charged Nov. 26 with domestic violence. He is accused of shoving his wife into a kitchen rack and leaving, returning a few hours later and choking her while she was sleeping.

Dominigue Bell, 22, of Botnick Place, was charged Nov. 26 with felonious assault. Bell is accused of striking a woman with her car after a quarrel. The victim had injuries to her back and legs, reports said.

Thefts

Perrin B. Paolo, 37, of the 500 block of High Grove Boulevard, was charged Nov. 30 with receiving stolen property. Police said Paolo was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Lumina that had been reported stolen.

A number of items, including a TV, computer and video games, were reported stolen in a burglary Nov. 28 in the 600 block of Allyn Street. Someone entered the home while the resident was sleeping, police said.

Erica L. Chalmers, 24, of the 100 block of Dellenberger Avenue, was charged Nov. 27 with felony theft after she was accused of taking her father's ATM card and making two withdrawals, totaling $800.

Roger Justice, 61, of Brittain Road, was charged Nov. 27 with breaking and entering and vandalism. He is accused of damaging property while trying to break into Party Time Drive Thru, 1900 E. Market St.

A burglary was reported Nov. 27 in the 300 block of Noah Street. An Xbox 360, a game and a necklace were reported stolen.

A man reported two teenaged males approached him Nov. 27 in the 100 block of South Main Street, grabbed his iPod and ran. The victim said one of the boys asked him, ''What are you going to do about it?'' before fleeing.

Joe White, 47, homeless, Jeffrey A. Miller, 52, homeless, and Barry E. Brown, 42, of Fulton Street, were charged Nov. 26 with breaking and entering after they were found inside vacant property in the 900 block of Johnston Street. A door had been forced open, reports said.

An Alfaretta Avenue boy, 14, was charged Nov. 24 with receiving stolen property and failure to comply. Police said they saw the boy on Copley Road driving a 2006 Ford Fusion that had been reported stolen an hour earlier. According to reports, the boy led police on a high-speed chase, running several stop signs, before crashing. The car flipped two or more times, police said.

Drugs

Ronald L. Bishop Sr., 47, of the 200 block of Rockwell Court, was charged Nov. 30 with illegally having weapons and permitting drug abuse. Police responding to a fight call at the home said they saw a .22-caliber rifle in plain view. According to reports, baggies with crack cocaine residue were found throughout the house, as was a bag with three crack pipes, a push rod and Chore Boy pieces.

Demetrius L. Houston, 36, of the 900 block of Minota Avenue, was charged Nov. 28 with possession of crack cocaine and possession of marijuana when police stopped Jeremy Mullen, 20, of the 1100 block of Keys Place, on felony warrants. Police said Mullen was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after a marijuana pipe was found in his possession.

Menacing

A Chittenden Place boy, 12, was charged Nov. 29 with menacing after he reportedly pushed a teacher and knocked items off a shelf. The boy allegedly made at least six threats against the teacher.

Barberton

Arrests

Brian D. Lay, 28, of Harding Avenue, was charged Dec. 1 with violating a protection order and disorderly conduct. According to witnesses at Magic City Lanes, 193 Wooster Road N., Lay was drinking and making comments to a 35-year-old woman inside the business. Witnesses told police they saw Lay near the woman, who has a court order of protection against him.

Brent Heitz, 25, of Akron, was charged Dec. 1 with possession of marijuana. Officers sent to Maxwell's Recycling to investigate a traffic accident found Heitz in a car that was teetering on an embankment. Heitz is accused of having a baggie of marijuana.

Ricky M. Young, 55, of Ninth Street Northwest, was charged Dec. 2 with allowing a dog to run at large. Officers who were called to the area of Tuscarawas Avenue and Ninth Street said they found two black Labradors running loose. According to the report, a dog charged a pedestrian walking nearby and one charged an officer getting out of his cruiser, who used pepper spray to avoid an attack. Young was determined to be the owner of the dogs as well as about half a dozen others that were inside a fenced area. According to the report, it is Young's third offense for allowing dogs to roam free.

Burglary

Electronic equipment and DVDs were taken during a burglary of a home in the first block of Antles Avenue on Nov. 28.

Telecommunications harassment

A 24-year-old Michigan Place woman reported Dec. 1 that for the past month, she has been receiving phone calls from a man who calls her names or breathes into the phone. She said the calls started when her ex-boyfriend was released from prison.

Aggravated robbery

An undetermined amount of money was taken Nov. 29 when a man with a gun robbed Loboy, 134 E. Tuscarawas Ave. Customers were in the store at the time of the robbery, police reported.

Bath Township

Suspicious activity

A woman called police to a home in the 800 block of Hametown Road on Dec. 3 to report that her boyfriend was cleaning up blood from the floor. Police said when they arrived, the man answered the door but refused to let them enter. According to the report, he said he vomited blood, was cleaning it up and agreed to be seen by paramedics, but refused to let them enter the home. After the man was taken to an area hospital, police entered the home to look for the woman who called and found her intoxicated and hiding in a closet. According to the report, she wouldn't say why she was hiding and no blood was found in the home.

Theft

A 2004 Ford pickup was taken from behind 3885 Medina Road. The truck is equipped with a yellow plow, a black diesel tank and a trailer hitch.

A snowmobile was taken from a trailer at a home in the 440 block of Bath Road.

Copley Township

Breaking and entering

Four chainsaws, a log splitter and a pressure washer, valued at more than $3,000, were reported stolen from a concrete building in the rear of 1135 Schocalog Road which was broken into Nov. 29.

Theft

A 1988 Ford Bronco was taken from a yard in the 2500 block of Summit Road. The owner of the vehicle told police it was in his parents' yard with a ''for sale'' sign. His parents noticed the vehicle missing on Nov. 29.

Coventry Township

Burglary

A Bevan Street residence was entered Nov. 24 and a 47-inch flat-screen TV worth $2,000 was taken, according to the owner.

Cuyahoga Falls

Thefts

Jewelry, a coin collection and change was reported stolen in a burglary Nov. 25 in the 3500 block of Eakins Road. The loss was estimated at $2,025.

An Akron man recovered his stolen pickup truck Nov. 23 in a parking lot in the 1500 block of State Road. The vehicle had been reported stolen Nov. 20 in Akron.

Miscellaneous

A customer paid for $399.27 worth of merchandise with a counterfeit $500 traveler's check Nov. 27 at BP, 1205 Main St.

Fairlawn

Arrests

Don A. Beach, 34, of Akron, was arrested Dec. 3 on a warrant for failure to appear from Akron. Summit Mall security called police to report a man in the women's restroom acting strangely and punching walls. According to a report, Beach told police he didn't realize he was in the wrong restroom. During a computer check, police discovered the warrant.

Kyle G. Fischer, 19, of Akron, was charged Nov. 28 with public indecency. Two employees of Abcott Paint and Flooring, 3750 W. Market St., told police that Fischer was wandering around the store and as he walked toward them, the women noticed his genitals were exposed.

Neil E. Limbach, 19, of East Canton, was charged Nov. 27 with breaking and entering at the kiosk at Mobile Solutions in Summit Mall on Aug. 19. According to the incident report, detectives were able to trace 16 stolen phones to Limbach.

Sexual imposition

A 31-year-old Canton woman reported Dec. 1 that while attending a party held by her employer in Fairlawn, a co-worker grabbed her breast. She said that when her husband confronted the man, the woman's boss told the couple to leave. She told police she did not want to file charges unless she loses her job because of the incident.

Arrests

Stefan Green, 18, of Molly Drive, was jailed by deputies Nov. 23 for domestic violence. He is accused of going after a relative in a threatening manner and throwing household items because she wouldn't buy him a computer, a sheriff's report indicated.

Randall Sutor, 22, of Blaine Avenue, Akron, was arrested on East Turkeyfoot Lake Road and jailed on a felony theft warrant on Nov. 25.

Thefts

A Robins Gate resident told Summit County sheriff's deputies that on Nov. 28-29, someone got access to her bank account and removed $742.32.

Deputies were notified Nov. 26 that $858 was missing from a safe at the Tadmor Shrine on Krebs Road.

Teresa G. Akin, 49, of the 5700 block of Argyle Avenue, was charged Nov. 25 with domestic violence. Akin is accused of striking her husband with her fist during a quarrel.

Bad checks

An Akron woman was released by police after she allegedly tried to cash a sweepstakes lottery check for $4,886.95 at a Canton Road wine and liquor store and learned that the check was counterfeit.

New Franklin

Arrest

Richard Abbott, 31, of Fawn Drive, was charged with domestic violence on Nov. 26. A woman and her daughter fled his residence after an argument in which the victim said she was pushed, choked and threatened.

Theft

A Center Road resident reported Nov. 22 that a 42-inch plasma TV was taken from the home.

Arrests

Randy Bodosi, 31, of Barberton, was charged with assault and Rodney Bodosi, 57, of Akron, was charged with disorderly conduct on Nov. 21 following a confrontation with a 54-year-old Norton man at Circle K, 4155 S. Cleveland-Massillon Road. According to police, the reporting party said he gave the men a ''look'' after they parked their pickup truck in a way that blocked in other motorists. The reporting party said the two confronted him inside the store and Rodney Bodosi shoved him. Once outside, Randy Bodosi assaulted him, he reported.

Burglary

Jewelry, a debit card and other items were taking during a burglary at a home in the 5000 block of Hametown Road on Nov. 25. The resident reported the home was ransacked while he and his wife were at church services.

Springfield Township

Arrest

Raymond Maze, 35, of Sanitarium Road, was booked into the Summit County Jail on Nov. 25 on domestic violence, aggravated menacing and unlawful restraint charges. He is accused of choking his girlfriend and coming at her with a knife. He reportedly was restrained by family members as she ran to a neighbor's home and called Springfield police.

Identification fraud

A Smithville man said his personal information was used to open an account, which was used to apply $1,723.39 to an electric bill at a Springfield Township home.

An Edwards Drive home was entered between Nov. 1 and 21 and several items worth a total of $3,438.72 were stolen.

Ryan E. Blair, 27, of the 4200 block of Americana Drive, was charged Nov. 29 with operating a vehicle under the influence and crossing marked lanes.

Richard S. Deily, 28, of the 4700 block of Fishcreek Road, was charged Nov. 26 with operating a vehicle under the influence and three counts of driving under a suspended license.

Nicole May-Whahwa Liu, 18, of the 3900 block of Lake Run Boulevard, was charged Nov. 25 with operating a vehicle under the influence, speeding, prohibitions and improper use of turn signals. Her passenger, Sarah M. Ayres, 19, of the same address, was charged with prohibitions.

Roger Webb, 44, of the 800 block of Kenmore Boulevard, Akron, was charged Nov. 25 with operating a vehicle under the influence and driving left of center.

Joseph G. Siglow, 47, of the 1200 block of Ritchie Road, was charged Nov. 25 with operating a vehicle under the influence, crossing marked lanes and speeding.

Someone pumped $56.05 worth of gas into a vehicle Nov. 27 and left Sheetz, 950 Steels Corners Road, without paying.

A Mannington Boulevard boy, 15, was charged with theft Nov. 26. The boy was accused of taking two bottles of cough syrup from Giant Eagle, 1700 Norton Road.

A Sanford Avenue girl, 13, and a Pennsylvania girl, 13, were charged Nov. 24 with theft. According to a report, the two concealed $238.64 worth of merchandise in their pockets and purse at Target, 4200 Kent Road.

Joseph A. Bush, 32, of Chippewa Lake Township, was charged Nov. 30 with violating a protection order.

A mother and son were charged Dec. 2 with domestic violence. Cora L. Walker, 53, of High Street, and Joseph L. Walker, 26, of High Street, are accused of assaulting each other. A second son, David A. Walker, 22, of High Street, was charged with disorderly conduct.

Krista L. Patterson, 26, of Highland Avenue, was charged Dec. 2 with domestic violence. She is accused of assaulting her 26-year-old husband during a quarrel in their home.

An Eastview Avenue resident reported Nov. 30 that someone broke into his home and took several items.

A snow blower valued at about $900 was taken from a driveway in the 400 block of West Street between Nov. 29 and Dec. 3.

Police are investigating a report of a Locust Street business operator, who said two bad checks for a total of $863 were discovered in his bank statement.

Arrests

Dallas Robey, 21, of Brighton Circle Northwest, was booked at the Stark County Jail on Nov. 28 after a search of his home with a warrant brought charges of illegal manufacture of drugs, trafficking in drugs, assembly and possession of chemicals to manufacture drugs and other drug counts. Police said he was captured as he tried to flee the area. Guns and almost $13,000 were seized, along with drugs and other items.

David Peters, 51, of Eighth Street Northeast, Massillon, was booked at the Stark County Jail Nov. 22 on a charge of domestic violence in connection with an argument among family members that led to a woman being pushed to the ground.

Thefts

A Perry Township woman told Jackson police Nov. 24 that someone took her purse and its contents, worth a total of $2,475, while she was at a Dressler Road Northwest nightspot.

A Doylestown man reported that computer software and a 9 mm handgun, worth a total of $3,200, were taken from his car in a Stark State College of Technology parking lot on Nov. 26.

North Canton

Arrests

A 17-year-old Valley Boulevard youth was booked at the Stark County Juvenile Attention Center on Nov. 28 after a neighbor notified police that someone was breaking into a Viking Street Northwest home. The youth was found inside. He crashed through a front window and entered another home before he was captured, police said.

On Nov. 26, a Sunford Avenue Southeast girl, 15, was taken to the Stark County Juvenile Attention Center, accused of threatening to kill a family member as he slept, police said.

Theft

A Red Coach Street Southeast resident said a snow thrower was taken from his garage during a Nov. 24 burglary.

Jewelry, a coin collection and change was reported stolen in a burglary Nov. 25 in the 3500 block of Eakins Road. The loss was estimated at $2,025.

An Akron man recovered his stolen pickup truck Nov. 23 in a parking lot in the 1500 block of State Road. The vehicle had been reported stolen Nov. 20 in Akron.

Miscellaneous

A customer paid for $399.27 worth of merchandise with a counterfeit $500 traveler's check Nov. 27 at BP, 1205 Main St.

Fairlawn

Arrests

Don A. Beach, 34, of Akron, was arrested Dec. 3 on a warrant for failure to appear from Akron. Summit Mall security called police to report a man in the women's restroom acting strangely and punching walls. According to a report, Beach told police he didn't realize he was in the wrong restroom. During a computer check, police discovered the warrant.

Kyle G. Fischer, 19, of Akron, was charged Nov. 28 with public indecency. Two employees of Abcott Paint and Flooring, 3750 W. Market St., told police that Fischer was wandering around the store and as he walked toward them, the women noticed his genitals were exposed.

Neil E. Limbach, 19, of East Canton, was charged Nov. 27 with breaking and entering at the kiosk at Mobile Solutions in Summit Mall on Aug. 19. According to the incident report, detectives were able to trace 16 stolen phones to Limbach.

Sexual imposition

A 31-year-old Canton woman reported Dec. 1 that while attending a party held by her employer in Fairlawn, a co-worker grabbed her breast. She said that when her husband confronted the man, the woman's boss told the couple to leave. She told police she did not want to file charges unless she loses her job because of the incident.

Arrests

Stefan Green, 18, of Molly Drive, was jailed by deputies Nov. 23 for domestic violence. He is accused of going after a relative in a threatening manner and throwing household items because she wouldn't buy him a computer, a sheriff's report indicated.

Randall Sutor, 22, of Blaine Avenue, Akron, was arrested on East Turkeyfoot Lake Road and jailed on a felony theft warrant on Nov. 25.

Thefts

A Robins Gate resident told Summit County sheriff's deputies that on Nov. 28-29, someone got access to her bank account and removed $742.32.

Deputies were notified Nov. 26 that $858 was missing from a safe at the Tadmor Shrine on Krebs Road.

Domestic violence

Teresa G. Akin, 49, of the 5700 block of Argyle Avenue, was charged Nov. 25 with domestic violence. Akin is accused of striking her husband with her fist during a quarrel.

Bad checks

An Akron woman was released by police after she allegedly tried to cash a sweepstakes lottery check for $4,886.95 at a Canton Road wine and liquor store and learned that the check was counterfeit.

New Franklin

Arrest

Richard Abbott, 31, of Fawn Drive, was charged with domestic violence on Nov. 26. A woman and her daughter fled his residence after an argument in which the victim said she was pushed, choked and threatened.

Theft

A Center Road resident reported Nov. 22 that a 42-inch plasma TV was taken from the home.

Arrests

Randy Bodosi, 31, of Barberton, was charged with assault and Rodney Bodosi, 57, of Akron, was charged with disorderly conduct on Nov. 21 following a confrontation with a 54-year-old Norton man at Circle K, 4155 S. Cleveland-Massillon Road. According to police, the reporting party said he gave the men a ''look'' after they parked their pickup truck in a way that blocked in other motorists. The reporting party said the two confronted him inside the store and Rodney Bodosi shoved him. Once outside, Randy Bodosi assaulted him, he reported.

Burglary

Jewelry, a debit card and other items were taking during a burglary at a home in the 5000 block of Hametown Road on Nov. 25. The resident reported the home was ransacked while he and his wife were at church services.

Springfield Township

Arrest

Raymond Maze, 35, of Sanitarium Road, was booked into the Summit County Jail on Nov. 25 on domestic violence, aggravated menacing and unlawful restraint charges. He is accused of choking his girlfriend and coming at her with a knife. He reportedly was restrained by family members as she ran to a neighbor's home and called Springfield police.

Identification fraud

A Smithville man said his personal information was used to open an account, which was used to apply $1,723.39 to an electric bill at a Springfield Township home.

An Edwards Drive home was entered between Nov. 1 and 21 and several items worth a total of $3,438.72 were stolen.

Ryan E. Blair, 27, of the 4200 block of Americana Drive, was charged Nov. 29 with operating a vehicle under the influence and crossing marked lanes.

Richard S. Deily, 28, of the 4700 block of Fishcreek Road, was charged Nov. 26 with operating a vehicle under the influence and three counts of driving under a suspended license.

Nicole May-Whahwa Liu, 18, of the 3900 block of Lake Run Boulevard, was charged Nov. 25 with operating a vehicle under the influence, speeding, prohibitions and improper use of turn signals. Her passenger, Sarah M. Ayres, 19, of the same address, was charged with prohibitions.

Roger Webb, 44, of the 800 block of Kenmore Boulevard, Akron, was charged Nov. 25 with operating a vehicle under the influence and driving left of center.

Joseph G. Siglow, 47, of the 1200 block of Ritchie Road, was charged Nov. 25 with operating a vehicle under the influence, crossing marked lanes and speeding.

Thefts

Someone pumped $56.05 worth of gas into a vehicle Nov. 27 and left Sheetz, 950 Steels Corners Road, without paying.

A Mannington Boulevard boy, 15, was charged with theft Nov. 26. The boy was accused of taking two bottles of cough syrup from Giant Eagle, 1700 Norton Road.

Justin A. Phillips, 23, of the 700 block of Annapolis Avenue, Akron, was charged Nov. 26 with burglary.

A Sanford Avenue girl, 13, and a Pennsylvania girl, 13, were charged Nov. 24 with theft. According to a report, the two concealed $238.64 worth of merchandise in their pockets and purse at Target, 4200 Kent Road.

Joseph A. Bush, 32, of Chippewa Lake Township, was charged Nov. 30 with violating a protection order.

Arrests

A mother and son were charged Dec. 2 with domestic violence. Cora L. Walker, 53, of High Street, and Joseph L. Walker, 26, of High Street, are accused of assaulting each other. A second son, David A. Walker, 22, of High Street, was charged with disorderly conduct.

Krista L. Patterson, 26, of Highland Avenue, was charged Dec. 2 with domestic violence. She is accused of assaulting her 26-year-old husband during a quarrel in their home.

An Eastview Avenue resident reported Nov. 30 that someone broke into his home and took several items.

Theft

A snow blower valued at about $900 was taken from a driveway in the 400 block of West Street between Nov. 29 and Dec. 3.

Two lighted reindeer were taken from a yard in the 800 block of Broad Street on Dec. 2.

Aileen M. Illuzzi, 23, of the 6600 block of Alpha Drive, was charged Nov. 28 with operating a vehicle under the influence and crossing marked lanes.

Police are investigating a report of a Locust Street business operator, who said two bad checks for a total of $863 were discovered in his bank statement.

Jackson Township

Arrests

Dallas Robey, 21, of Brighton Circle Northwest, was booked at the Stark County Jail on Nov. 28 after a search of his home with a warrant brought charges of illegal manufacture of drugs, trafficking in drugs, assembly and possession of chemicals to manufacture drugs and other drug counts. Police said he was captured as he tried to flee the area. Guns and almost $13,000 were seized, along with drugs and other items.

David Peters, 51, of Eighth Street Northeast, Massillon, was booked at the Stark County Jail Nov. 22 on a charge of domestic violence in connection with an argument among family members that led to a woman being pushed to the ground.

Thefts

A Perry Township woman told Jackson police Nov. 24 that someone took her purse and its contents, worth a total of $2,475, while she was at a Dressler Road Northwest nightspot.

A Doylestown man reported that computer software and a 9 mm handgun, worth a total of $3,200, were taken from his car in a Stark State College of Technology parking lot on Nov. 26.

North Canton

Arrests

A 17-year-old Valley Boulevard youth was booked at the Stark County Juvenile Attention Center on Nov. 28 after a neighbor notified police that someone was breaking into a Viking Street Northwest home. The youth was found inside. He crashed through a front window and entered another home before he was captured, police said.

On Nov. 26, a Sunford Avenue Southeast girl, 15, was taken to the Stark County Juvenile Attention Center, accused of threatening to kill a family member as he slept, police said.

Theft

A Red Coach Street Southeast resident said a snow thrower was taken from his garage during a Nov. 24 burglary.

Burglary

A Sweitzer Street North home was entered Nov. 28 and $590 plus miscellaneous stocks and bonds and several pieces of jewelry were taken, a resident told Uniontown police.
