Domestic violence/assault
A 16-year-old East Crosier Street boy was charged June 25 with two counts of domestic violence. According to reports, when the boy's mother refused to let him on the computer and tried to remove him from the seat, he hit her several times, picked up a screwdriver and threatened her.
Preston M. Young, 68, of the 1100 block of Neptune Avenue, was charged June 24 with felonious assault. He is accused of hitting a man on the head with a pipe, causing a severe laceration.
Rodney J. Whitson, 20, of the 1100 block of Pondview Avenue, was charged June 24 with domestic violence. Whitson was accused of punching his girlfriend in the head.
Jeb A. Kasicki, 22, of the 100 block of Palmetto Avenue, was charged June 24 with domestic violence and disrupting public service. Kasicki is accused of choking a woman, lifting her off the floor and pulling the phone from the wall when she tried to call 911.
Demetrus D. Miles, 31, whose last known address is in the 900 block of Fifth Avenue, was charged June 24 with felonious assault, domestic violence, domestic violence-menacing and unlawful restraint. Miles is accused of punching a woman in the face, choking her and knocking her to the ground. According to the report, he also is accused of kicking her in the back and stomach and, when she tried to leave the residence, pulling her back inside. The report said he also threatened to kill her.
Antoine R. Finney, 32, of the 500 block of Crosby Street, was charged June 23 with domestic violence, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of drugs. Finney is accused of grabbing his girlfriend by the hood and threatening to beat her if she didn't ''give up'' the house key. Reports said he had a switchblade and marijuana.
Alan P. Barlow, 43, of the 2300 block of Eastlawn Street, was charged June 23 with two counts of domestic violence and disrupting public services. Barlow is accused of pushing his girlfriend around the apartment and over a glass table, breaking it, and pulling two phones out of the jacks. He also is accused of pushing her down a flight of steps.
A 16-year-old East Archwood Avenue girl was charged June 23 with domestic violence. She is accused of punching her sister in the mouth and grabbing a kitchen knife and threatening her.
Jonathon D. Tabler, 29, of the 1800 block of Moonlit Trail, was charged June 22 with felony domestic violence. He is accused of hitting a woman with a metal chair.
A 17-year-old Juneau Avenue boy was charged June 21 with domestic violence. He is accused of kicking and punching his father after he was confronted about fake crack cocaine that was found in his bedroom.
Gabriel M. McKeever, 28, of the 500 block of Alaho Street, was charged June 21 with assault and disorderly conduct/intoxication. He is accused of assaulting two men at the intersection of Newton Street and the Brooklands Street. One man was knocked out and the other was punched in the face, chipping his front teeth.
Billy J. Harrison, 43, of the 1500 block of Salem Avenue, was charged June 20 with two counts of domestic violence. Harrison is accused of punching his sister in the face and threatening to shoot her.
Thefts
A catalytic converter was reported stolen June 25 from a 1991 Volvo on Alphada Avenue.
Jeffrey A. Rosser, 40, of the 300 block of South Rhodes Avenue, was charged June 25 with burglary. Rosser was accused of burglarizing the home of a 92-year-old.
Mark J. Jones, 38, of the 1200 block of Beardsley Street, was charged June 25 with aggravated burglary, domestic violence, domestic violence-menacing and obstructing official business. Jones was accused of kicking in the door of a Moore Street residence and attacking a woman.
Brandon M. Reid, 18, of the 700 block of Garry Road, was charged June 25 with receiving stolen property/auto, carrying a concealed weapon, willfully fleeing, having weapons illegally, two counts of felonious assault on a police officer and possession of criminal tools. According to a report, when police tried to stop a car, the driver turned into the cruiser, striking it, then led police on a chase, driving erratically, causing two tires to blow. Police said the driver kept turning in the direction of cruisers, causing them to swerve to avoid being struck. Reid was apprehended at Eastwood Avenue and Eric Drive. Police said they found a loaded .357 handgun and the car had been stolen three days earlier.
Perrin B. Paulo, 38, of the 500 block of East Buchtel Avenue, was charged June 24 with aggravated burglary and robbery. Paulo is accused of forcing in the door of an apartment on 23rd Street, injuring the occupant and taking money and medication.
A Green woman told police June 24 that she had been deceived by a phone call claiming to be from her bank doing a ''security check.'' Police said $14,500 was taken from her saving and checking accounts.
A man with a handgun walked into Church's Chicken, 700 S. Arlington St., on June 23, demanded money and ran away.
A man entered Little Caesar's, 2321 East Ave., with a gun on June 23, forced employees to open the registers, took money and fled.
Jeremy L. Proctor, 28, of the 800 block of Palmetto Avenue, was charged June 23 with robbery, failure to comply, resisting arrest and obstructing official business. Proctor is accused of punching a man and taking his Kia Rio on East Tallmadge Avenue. Police said he led them on a chase, abandoned the vehicle and fled. He is accused of fighting and resisting when apprehended.
Clarence Williams Jr., 50, of the 300 block of West Miller Road, was charged June 20 with robbery. He is accused of taking a bottle of gin from Dave's, 871 E. Exchange St., and fighting with security after being confronted.
A 15-year-old Roger Avenue girl and a 15-year-old Wyley Avenue girl were charged June 19 with theft. The two were accused of concealing $143.68 worth of merchandise in a stroller at Steve & Barry's, 2000 Brittain Road. Police said the two ran from security and were apprehended in the parking lot.
Miscellaneous
Police were called June 25 after someone painted the word ''dumb'' on the back of a truck on North Adams Street.
Dwayne G. Wagner, 44, of the 300 block of Palm Avenue, was charged June 25 with abusing harmful intoxicants and possession of drug paraphernalia. Reports said Wagner was walking on North Howard Street with a bag containing paper towels soaked in brake cleaner.
David A. Newell, 30, of the 100 block of Swartz Avenue, Barberton, was charged June 25 with carrying a concealed weapon, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle and having weapons illegally. According to a report, Newell was found passed out in the passenger seat of a vehicle at My Place Bar. The report said he had a gun in his hand and had vomited on himself and the gun.
Michael Dowdell, 28, whose last known address was the 900 block of Copley Road, was charged June 25 with shooting into an occupied structure. Dowdell was accused of firing into a Haynes Street residence and two others along with another man.
Travaris Perkins, 27, of the 800 block of Snyder Street, Akron, was charged June 24 with possession of drugs, trafficking in drugs and possession of marijuana. Eric J. Allen, 21, was charged with trafficking in drugs. Detectives said they stopped the two and found 15 bags of marijuana in Allen's shoes and about three grams of crack cocaine packaged for sale and a small bag of marijuana in Perkins' possession.
Clinton J. Longmire Jr., 49, of the 500 block of East Buchtel Avenue, was charged June 23 with trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs. Longmire was arrested on outstanding warrants when police said they found 11 baggies of crack cocaine in his pocket, along with $384.

Arrests
Kevin Vargo, 39, who is homeless, was charged June 29 with disorderly conduct, having an open container and criminal trespass. Police said that they saw Vargo urinating behind the Salvation Army, 125 Wooster Road N. and that he had an open 24-ounce can of beer.
Danyell Allen, 25, of Elson Avenue, was charged June 28 with child endangering. A Cedarwood Court woman told police she saw a 6-year-old boy playing in her yard around 1 p.m., just before she took a nap, and when she awoke around 6 p.m., the child was banging on her door. She called police, who canvassed the area, trying to find the child's home. Because the child is autistic, police were unable to get information from him. About 7:30 p.m., Allen called police to report her child missing. Allen reportedly told police she lay down with the boy at 4:30, and he crawled out of a window after she fell asleep.
Assault
A 26-year-old Akron man reported June 30 that while arguing with his fiancee at their Norwood Avenue home, her ex-boyfriend arrived to pick up their two children. The ex-boyfriend and his friend sprayed the Akron man with pepper spray.
Breaking and entering
Someone broke into Camps Auto Salvage warehouse, 135 Snyder Ave., on June 25 and took items reportedly worth more than $2,000.
Identity theft
A 46-year-old Doylestown man reported July 2 that his brother, who lives in Barberton, used his Social Security number and personal information when he was arrested in 2005. He said the brother did the same thing around the same time in Norton.
Bath Township
Arrests
Kathleen Hemrick, 49, of Cleveland-Massillon Road, was charged June 25 with assault and criminal trespassing. She is accused of going to her brother-in-law's Cleveland-Massillon Road home to look for her husband, despite being told by police to stay away. While there, she reportedly assaulted her brother-in-law.
Burglary
A home in the 2500 block of Farmstead Road was broken into between June 25 and 27 while the owner was away.
Copley Township
Burglary
A PlayStation was taken from a home in the 1200 block of Briggle Avenue on June 26.
Theft
An employee of Econo Lodge, 70 Rothrock Road, reported June 20 that a man left without paying his $1,300 bill.
A Regal Drive man reported June 24 that his brother stole his identification to open an account at Dominion East Ohio. Between December and April, more than $600 was charged to the account.
Coventry Township
Arrests
Rodney Nelson, 42, of West Turkeyfoot Road, was charged with two counts of domestic violence and booked at the Summit County Jail on June 22. He is accused of pushing a woman to the floor, holding his forearm against her throat and pushing a child when she came to her mother's aid.
Ryan Redmond, 20, of Damon Street, Akron, was booked in Summit County for felony burglary June 20 after a woman said she saw him climbing through a bedroom window of her Markey Street home. According to the report, he was captured by a Summit County sheriff's deputy after a lengthy foot chase.
Identification fraud
A Wynne Drive man said June 20 that someone opened a credit-card account in his name and made purchases totaling $898.
Theft
A Steve Drive resident said June 19 that a motorcycle helmet and pair of gloves worth a total of $695 were taken while he was at a Manchester Road motorcycle shop.

Domestic violence
Scott D. Sampson, 47, of the 2000 block of Newberry Street, was charged June 29 with domestic violence and disrupting public services. Sampson is accused of punching the mother of his child in the eye and pulling a phone out of the wall.
Allan F. Arnold, 44, of the 300 block of Grant Avenue, was charged June 23 with felony domestic violence. He is accused of punching his wife in the head and body.

A man bit a woman on the buttocks June 29 as she stood outside River City, 2621 Bailey Road.
Someone made a bomb threat June 22 at Domino's, 69 Graham Road.

Pamela Klosterman, 31, of Magnolia, was charged June 26 with deception to obtain a dangerous drug. She is accused of using a false name and Social Security number to obtain pain medication from a Fairlawn doctor.
Theft
A wallet containing credit and debit cards was taken from Opinions LTD, 3265 W. Market St. The debit card was used to make fraudulent purchases at two stores.
A 24-year-old Akron woman reported June 25 that she left two bags of merchandise worth more than $600 with an employee at the checkout counter at American Eagle Outfitters at Summit Mall. She said that when she went to retrieve the bags, they were gone.

A computer, a signed Nolan Ryan baseball and other items worth a total of $6,036 were taken June 21 from a Chenoweth Road residence.
Breaking and entering
An Island Drive resident reported June 24 that golf clubs valued at $500 were taken from his garage.
An East Turkeyfoot Lake man reported June 23 that a lawn mower and battery charger, valued at $1,200, were missing from his garage.

Sixty videos worth a a total of $3,600 were reported stolen June 24 from a Canton Road video store.
Burglary
Jewelry and purses valued at $6,700 were reported stolen from the home of a Hidden Lake Boulevard woman on June 18.
Norton
Arrests
Michael Marks, 38, of Wayne Street, was arrested June 16 on a warrant for telephone harassment. Police said the warrant was discovered while police were taking a report from Marks about a person making unwanted phone calls to him.
Ryan Yarger, 29, of Akron, was charged June 30 with fleeing. He is accused of eluding police on his motorcycle just after midnight June 29. Yarger at first told Akron police that the bike had been missing since midnight, but according to the report, he later confessed that he was the driver Norton police were chasing.

Brittany D. Eitner, 21, of Bermont Avenue, Munroe Falls, was charged June 24 with operating a vehicle under the influence, crossing marked lanes and driving left of center.
Kathy J. Deitch, 39, of the 3700 block of Pelham Lane, Kent, was charged June 23 with public indecency. She was observed in the rear of a vehicle and appeared to be nude, police said. A 17-year-old boy from Ackley Street in Akron was charged with public indecency, prohibitions and curfew violation.
Darlene B. Reagan, 50, of the 3300 block of Mogadore Road, Mogadore, was charged June 23 with operating a vehicle under the influence, inadequate headlights, weaving, open container and drug abuse.
Andrew J. Thomas, 44, of the 2300 block of Wrens Circle, was charged June 23 with 13 counts of theft, three counts of felony theft, receiving stolen property, possession of criminal tools and criminal trespass.

Michael B. Grimmett, 43, of Donze Court, was charged June 28 with operating a vehicle under the influence.
Michael T. Mueller, 22, of the 300 block of South Munroe Avenue, was charged June 27 with operating a vehicle under the influence.
Miscellaneous
A 4-year-old boy was injured June 28 when he grabbed a ''smoke cone.'' The boy's father was lighting fireworks when the boy grabbed the cone. It exploded in his hands, burning his hands and chest. He was taken to Akron Children's Hospital for treatment.
Mark T. Cole, 43, of the 2300 block of Nicholas Avenue, Akron, was charged June 26 with forgery and falsification. Cole had previously been cited for driving under suspension and his was vehicle towed. He went to the Tallmadge Police Department with a document from Cuyahoga Falls Municipal Court to get a tow release, but reports said the document had been altered.

Jeffery A. Davis, 28, of West Washington Street, was charged June 27 with domestic violence. He is accused of assaulting his girlfriend.
Natasha R. Pearson, 24, of West North Street, was charged July 1 with obstructing official business and failure to use child-restraint seats. She was stopped on East North Street, accused of littering.
Theft
A wallet containing credit cards and cash was taken from an employee at 23 Public Square. Several fraudulent transactions were made with the credit cards.

Greg Simon, 26, of Main Street, was arrested June 30 on a warrant for domestic violence.
James R. Calabris, 54, of Massillon, was arrested June 30 on a theft warrant from Canton. Police found Calabris at Legacy Inn, 810 High St., while investigating a car parked in the lot that had been reported stolen from Tallmadge. According to the report, Calabris registered the car as his when he checked into the inn, but told police he borrowed the car from a friend and knew he was supposed to return it several days earlier.
Michael J. Kennell, 31, of Marshallville, was charged June 28 with aggravated criminal trespass, criminal trespass and assault. He is accused of going to his ex-girlfriend's High Street apartment after she told him to stay away, assaulting her and refusing to leave.

Paul V. Musarra, 18, of the 1100 block of Jessie Avenue, was charged June 27 with operating a vehicle under the influence, prohibitions, reckless operation and hit-skip.
Brett L. McKinney, 18, of Windham, and Alison A.E. Gillespie, 18, of the 1600 block of state Route 59, were charged June 28 with trafficking in cocaine and trafficking in marijuana.
William E. Meloy, 55, of the 400 block of Irma Street, was charged June 29 with operating a vehicle under the influence, refusing a breath test and driving left of center.
Richard D. Krapinski, 37, of the 300 block of Orchard Road, Ravenna, was charged June 25 with operating a vehicle under the influence and squealing tires.

Brian K. Crawford, 28, of the 600 block of Ada Street, was charged June 30 with felony domestic violence.
Gerald K. Mickie, 23, of the 400 block of Cherry Street, was charged June 23 with domestic violence.

Ronald K. Hagans, 41, of the 5900 block of Rhodes Road, was charged June 27 with two counts of importuning.
Desera N. Fowler, 19, of the 900 block of Stein Court, was charged June 25 with assault on an officer, disorderly conduct after warning and menacing. Police accused Fowler of being disorderly and spitting on an officer following arrests made in a theft investigation.

Jay S. Mihok, 40, of Aurora, was charged June 29 with operating a vehicle under the influence, endangering children and possession of marijuana.
Kimberly A. Artino, 39, of the 200 block of Grant Street, was charged June 24 with operating a vehicle under the influence and refusing a breath test. Police were called to the drive-through at Arby's, 417 Main St., about a possibly intoxicated driver.
Domestic violence
Keith D. Cassi, 37, of the 400 block of South Chestnut Street, was charged June 29 with domestic violence.
Christine K. Wagner, 34, of the 800 block of Cleveland Road, was charged June 28 with domestic violence. Wagner is accused of threatening to kill a man and striking him in the leg with her vehicle.

Three boys were observed June 17 with guns near the Portage Pointe playground. The boys told police they were making videos for YouTube. They had BB or pellet guns.
Someone pumped $65 worth of gas at Sheetz, 9745 State Route 14, and drove off without paying.

Arrest
Richard Dittmer, 53, of Kepler Road, New Franklin, was arrested by Canal Fulton police on June 24 on a warrant for passing bad checks. He was booked at the Stark County Jail.
Theft
A Longview Avenue man said a Massillon man sold him a car and took $600 for a down payment and repairs, but never returned for the $200 balance and never provided the car. The suspect is being sought by North Canton and Tallmadge police for similar incidents.

Earnest Lombardi, 39, of Cleveland Avenue Southwest, Canton, was jailed June 26 in Stark County on an aggravated robbery warrant.
Bradley Zaryki, 39, of Stockbridge Street Northwest, was booked for domestic violence June 20 after a woman said he pulled her hair, pushed her to the floor, spit on her and threw a metal pick at her, hitting her in the leg.
Burglary
A Fulton Drive Northwest resident said June 25 that someone broke the front-door window of the home with a rock and took stereo, TV and radio equipment worth $1,060.
Forgery
A Massillon caregiver for a woman in a nursing home told police June 24 that two checks worth a total of $525 were forged and cashed without the patient's permission.
Breaking and entering
A financial company employee told police June 23 that two computer projectors worth a total of $2,000 were taken from the office.
Thefts
A Nobles Pond Drive resident reported June 20 that his identification was used by someone else to open a line of credit. Loss was set at $20,000.
A laptop computer, GPS system and other items worth a total of $1,480 were stolen from a South Answick Circle woman's vehicle while parked at the house, according to a June 20 police report.

Leigh Ann Ostervich, 33, of Market Avenue North, was jailed in Stark County on June 25, charged with choking, scratching and assaulting a man during an altercation at the residence.
Burglary
Uncashed checks and cash worth a total of $700 were reported stolen June 20 from an Andrews Street Northeast residence.
North Canton
Burglary
A South Main Street resident said June 20 that golf clubs and bag worth a total of $1,000 were stolen from his garage.

Debra Covell, 50, of Zircon Street Northeast was jailed June 26 in Stark County on a domestic violence charge. Covell is accused of slapping a young man in the face several times.
Wendy Allison, 37, of 42nd Street Northwest, was jailed June 10 on a warrant charging her with passing bad checks.
Uniontown
Arrest
David Sprague, 19, of Twin Hills Street, was booked in Stark County on a domestic violence charge June 22. Sprague is accused of shoving a man into a wall, causing his head to split open and bleed, during an argument.
Burglary
On June 20, 375 train engines and cars worth a total of $18,750 were reported stolen from a Twin Hills Street residence. There was no sign of forced entry, according to deputies.

Burglary
Two dirt bikes valued at $7,700 were reported stolen June 25 from a garage in the 14300 block of Hametown Road, Chippewa Township.
Criminal mischief
Someone put mustard in a mailbox July 1 in the 13100 block of Shank Road, Chippewa Township.
Recovered property
A 1997 Ford pickup truck valued at $3,500 was stolen from New Franklin July 1 and found in a driveway in the 19100 block of Galehouse Road, Chippewa Township.
Theft
Two mini bikes and a five-gallon gas can valued at $615 were taken July 1 from a shed in the 13600 block of Kauffman Avenue, Milton Township.
A street sign valued at $75 was taken July 1 from the 13100 block of Kevin Drive, Chippewa Township.
Farm equipment valued at $2,000 was taken July 1 from Woody's Farm, 11357 Burbank Road, Canaan Township.
A grill and a propane tank valued at $600 were taken June 26 from a home in the 12600 block of Shank Road, Chippewa Township.
Candy bars and soft drinks valued at $250 were taken June 26 from the Norwayne Youth Baseball Program at a building in the 13300 block of Kauffman Avenue, Milton Township.
Wooster
Arrests
Sherry Keil, 30, of Akron, was arrested June 27 on charges of theft and obstructing justice in the Wal-Mart parking lot, 3883 Burbank Road. She is accused of taking a variety of items worth a total of $782. According to a report, Keil also gave deputies at the Wayne County Jail a false name of Lisa Allen and a false address, age and Social Security number, and had three outstanding warrants.
Wesley S. Moore, 20, of Orrville was arrested June 29 at South Bever and East South streets on charges of possession of marijuana, ecstasy and drug paraphernalia; trafficking in drugs; and falsification. Moore is accused of giving police a false name.
