Domestic violence/assault

Timothy A. Ring, 29, of the 900 block of Merton Avenue, was charged July 3 with two counts of domestic violence. Ring is accused of hitting a woman and throwing her to the floor.

Steve A. Myers, 23, of the 1200 block of Crestview Avenue, was charged July 2 with domestic violence, misrepresenting ID, obstructing official business and drug abuse/marijuana.

Manuel G. Powell, 47, of the 300 block of Stanton Avenue, was charged July 2 with felonious assault. According to reports, Powell was arrested April 28 for misdemeanor assault after an altercation on Grant Street. Because the victim's injuries were more severe, the charge was changed to felonious assault, the report said.

Amber R. Ford, 26, of Minerva; Tanisha L. Moore, 24, of the 500 block of Eastland Avenue; and Tai-Lynn C. Patterson, 23, of Cleveland, were charged July 2 with kidnapping and felonious assault. The three were accused of forcing a woman to strip naked and beating her with a belt and a phone book.

Joshua Wright, 28, of Hemlock Hills Drive, was charged July 2 with domestic violence.

Michael ''White Mike'' Minocchi, 30, of Canton, was charged July 1 with felonious assault. Minocchi is accused of striking a man, police reports said. They said his accomplice was an unidentified man known as ''Tex.''

Douglas Hindal, 25, of the 500 block of East Market Street, was charged July 1 with felonious assault.

Tara G. King, 31, of the 2200 block of 22nd Street, was charged June 29 with domestic violence and felonious assault. King is accused of striking her husband in the forehead with a hammer.

Eugene W. Blackwood III, 47, of the 1600 block of Delba Street, was charged June 29 with rape and kidnapping.

Carolyn M. Cash, 50, of the 800 block of Sumner Street, was charged June 29 with domestic violence. Cash is accused of beating, punching and holding her daughter against her will.

Raymond D. Rose Jr., 24, of the 2200 block of North Messner Road, was charged June 28 with felonious assault and domestic violence.

Tommie L. Jenkins, 47, of the 400 block of Sherman Street, was charged June 27 with domestic violence.

Anthony T. Paige, 40, of Lake Street, was charged June 26 with domestic violence.

Anthony D. Felding Jr., 19, of the 700 block of Glendora Avenue, was charged June 26 with domestic violence and abduction.

Thefts

Timothy A. Bryant, 19, of the 100 block of Edward Avenue, was charged July 2 with burglary and theft from the elderly. Bryant is accused of entering the home of a 75-year-old woman and taking her Social Security check.

Michael J. Love, 24, of the 300 block of Talbot Avenue, was charged June 26 with receiving stolen property/auto. Love is accused of driving a car that had been stolen in Copley.

Miscellaneous

Rebecca P. Gilmore, 29, of the 300 block of McGowan Street, was charged July 1 with felony unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Gilmore is accused of renting a 2008 Chevy Impala from Enterprise Rental, 2197 Romig Road, and not returning the vehicle as agreed.

Ray L. Gray Sr., 52, of the 1600 block of Manchester Road, was charged July 1 with promoting prostitution.

Dorothea A. Frazier, 50, of the 300 block of East Glenwood Avenue, was charged June 29 with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

A North Canton woman was kidnapped June 28 while walking near East and Lesser avenues. According to a report, two men forced her into a vehicle, but the woman fought, broke free and fell to the ground. The car kept going.

Barberton
Arrests

Paul A. Conkey, 43, of Baltic, Ohio, was arrested July 8 on a warrant from Wayne County. The warrant was discovered after Conkey was stopped because of expired plates on his van.

A 19th Street Northwest boy, 17, was charged July 5 with assault and criminal damaging. Scott Scarito, 18, of 21st Street, was charged with obstructing official business and resisting arrest.

Burglary

Prescription painkillers and $700 in $2 bills were taken from a home in the first block of 29th Street between June 14 and July 7.

Copley Township
Arrests

David McVay, 38, of Ravenna, was charged July 4 with public indecency. A police officer patrolling the area said he saw McVay urinating outside Martin House Apartments, 2131 Copley Road, near where some children were playing.

Coventry Township
Arrests

David Keller, 42, of Halcyon Drive, was booked at the Summit County Jail on July 4 on a charge of domestic violence.

Tyler Quinn, 23, of Wymore Avenue, and Gary Headsick, 19, of Prosser Drive, were booked at the Summit jail June 27 on assault charges; they are accused of beating a man with baseball bats.

Martin J. Correia, 35, of the 2200 block of State Road, was charged June 29 with domestic violence.

Arrests

William H. Brown II, 32, of Akron, was arrested on a probation violation warrant July 4..

Larry Neiman, 51, of Calderwood Drive, was charged July 6 with aggravated menacing. He is accused of pointing a shotgun at his neighbor.

Theft

A Brook Park woman, 83, reported July 7 that she left her purse at Wendy's, 3023 W. Market St. She told police she retrieved the purse, which had been turned in to the manager by a customer, but her checkbook, identification card and debit card were missing.

Green
Arrests

Renny Baldridge Jr., 32, of Onondago Trail, and Jennifer Moyers, 34, of Mayfair Road, were jailed in Summit County on July 5 after an altercation at a Mayfair Road apartment complex. He was charged with domestic violence and burglary; she was accused of assault and child endangering.

Adam Starcher, 35, of Mayfair Road was jailed July 1, accused of domestic violence.

Nabil Youssef, 21, of King Arthur Drive, was accused of domestic violence and child endangering June 30.

Hudson
Drunk driving

Nicholas A. Roberto, 29, of the 1300 block of Timber Trail, was charged July 6 with operating a vehicle under the influence and crossing marked lanes.

Jeffrey L. Patricke, 53, of the 400 block of Fan Drive, Akron, was charged June 27 with operating a vehicle under the influence.

New Franklin
Arrest

Mickey Goff, 45, of South Cleveland-Massillon Road, was jailed in Summit County on a domestic violence charge June 30. He is accused of threatening a relative with a knife.

Norton
Arrests

Jason Garrard, 33, of Cleveland-Massillon Road, was charged July 3 with falsification. He is accused of falsely reporting his vehicle as stolen to avoid being cited for leaving the scene of an accident.

Aaron R. Smith, 21, of Barberton, was arrested July 3 on a warrant from the U.S. Army charging desertion.

Alissa C. Reiter, 19, of Wadsworth, was charged July 4 with domestic violence.

Springfield Township
Arrests

Sheri Carpenter, 41, of Greenleaf Road, was jailed in Summit County. She is accused of assaulting a man July 2.

Scottie Miller, 48, of Cornell Drive, was jailed on charges of domestic violence and resisting arrest June 25.

Stow

Ryan C. Vongunten, 26, of the 4900 block of Spring Run Court, was charged July 6 with operating a vehicle under the influence and reckless operation.

Charles R. Braham, 54, of Roslyn Avenue, Hudson, was charged July 6 with operating a vehicle under the influence, failure to comply and speeding.

David M. McTighe, 46, of the 300 block of Pleasant Meadow Lane, Cuyahoga Falls, was charged July 4 with operating a vehicle under the influence and two counts of driving under a suspended license.

Donald G. Levandowski, 19, of the 4400 block of Bunker Lane, was charged July 2 with operating a vehicle under the influence and crossing marked lanes.

Mallorie I. Hager, 33, of the 2800 block of East Celeste View Drive, was charged July 3 with domestic violence.

John D. Thomas, 51, of the 1000 block of Annapolis Avenue, Akron, was charged July 4 with operating a vehicle under the influence and having an open container.

Joann L. McKeown, 24, of East Firestone Boulevard, Akron, was charged July 2 with operating a vehicle under the influence and driving under a suspended license.

Domestic violence/assault

Michael L. Perry, 26, of the 1300 block of Brittain Road, Akron, was charged July 2 with assault.

Scot W. Collins Jr., 27, of the 1100 block of Fenn Road, was charged July 1 with domestic violence.

Candice Eutin, 27, of Third Street, was charged July 7 with domestic violence.

Robert Sloat Jr., 47, of Akron, was charged July 5 with falsification. He is accused of lying about his identity to avoid arrest on a warrant from Akron.

Jose Santa, 25, of West Bergey Street, was charged July 5 with disrupting public service.

Matthew A. Thomas, 29, of Greenwich Road, was charged July 4 with violating a protection order.

Theft

A 2008 Kawasaki motocross motorcycle was taken from the bed of a pickup parked in the driveway of a home in the 500 block of Westview Avenue on July 6.

Naser Rizek, 24, of the 1300 block of Brimfield Drive, Kent, was charged July 1 with domestic violence.

Donnell A. West, 24, of East Cleveland, was charged June 30 with trafficking in marijuana, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of criminal tools.

Edward L. Golden, 29, of the 200 block of Starr Avenue, was charged July 5 with disorderly conduct/intoxication.

Jacob R. Hinzman, 20, of Massillon, was charged July 5 with operating a vehicle under the influence, prohibitions and not having a rear plate light.

Michael A. Kavali, 31, of the 1100 block of San Raphael Drive, Akron, was charged July 3 with operating a vehicle under the influence and left of center.

Cindy R. Shanley, 48, of Ferguson Drive, Tallmadge, was charged July 5 with operating a vehicle under the influence, not using occupant restraining devices and failing to display license plates.

James E. Garvey III, 24, of the 700 block of Woodside Drive, was charged July 4 with refusing a breath test and not obeying traffic control devices.

Jeremy W. Martin, 31, of the 9200 block of Peck Road, Mantua, was charged July 3 with operating a vehicle under the influence and possession of drug paraphernalia..

Adam T. Livengood, 32, of the 700 block of Tallmadge Road, Rootstown, was charged July 5 with assault after an incident at the Den, 110 N. Meridian St.

Kenneth E. Smith Jr., 53, of the 100 block of Van Buren Street, was charged July 4 with felony domestic violence.

Brian L. Henderson, 23, of the 400 block of Main Street, was charged July 5 with felony domestic violence.

Stark County

Arrest

William Murphy, 22, of Waterside Avenue, was booked at the Stark County Jail on charges of domestic violence and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia June 29 after an altercation with a woman at the residence.

Jackson Township
Arrests

Michael Millender, 31, and Charles Davis, 52, both of North Arlington Street, Akron, were arrested July 1 at the Summit County Jail on warrants charging each with three counts of theft of catalytic converters.

Sandra Irwin, 23, of Hoover Place Northwest, Canton, was booked at the Stark County Jail July 1 on a charge of receiving stolen property; she is accused of having several items of lingerie reported stolen from a Dressler Road Northwest shop.

Alisha Tucker, 19, of Mapleton Street, East Canton, was jailed in Stark County on June 28 on a felony theft charge.

Twinetta Clark, 28, of Kermit Avenue, Akron, was booked June 27 at the Stark County Jail on a warrant charging her with passing bad checks.

John Lombardi, 39, of Cleveland Avenue Northwest, Canton, was booked into the Stark County Jail on June 26 by Jackson police on a warrant charging complicity to robbery.

Thefts

A Canton man reported that speakers, a CD player and other items worth a total of $1,300 were taken from his truck while he was inside a Dressler Road Northwest restaurant July 5.

Electronic equipment worth $5,200 was reported stolen from a 20th Street Northwest man's pickup truck.

Lake Township
Arrest

Diane Speicher, 19, of Cleveland Avenue Northwest, was booked at the Stark County Jail on June 29 on a warrant charging domestic violence and theft.

North Canton
Arrests

Jesse Myers, 26, of Beechwood Avenue Northeast, was charged with domestic violence and booked in Stark County on July 2 after a woman said he struck her with his fist and threw her against a bedroom dresser.

Anthony Hicks, 28, of Hillcrest Avenue Northwest, was in the Stark County Jail on July 1 when served with a warrant for a June 21 domestic violence incident.

Diane Yacher, 53, and daughter-in-law Melissa Yacher, 18, both of Wilbur Drive Northeast, were jailed June 30 on domestic violence charges.

Burglary

On June 28, a North Main Street man said his apartment was entered and a computer, monitor, cash and cell phone worth a total of $1,613 were taken.

Plain Township
Arrests

Ted Moretz, 27, of Zircon Street Northeast, was arrested at his home July 5 on a warrant charging forgery, theft and vandalism.

Michael Fearence, 19, of Morris Avenue Northeast, was jailed July 6 on charges of domestic violence and aggravated menacing.

Les Kramer, 19, of Guilford Avenue Northwest, was jailed on charges of aggravated burglary, assault and aggravated menacing.

Uniontown
Arrest

Scott Woodring, 18, of Laurel Drive, Twinsburg, was jailed in Stark County on an aggravated menacing charge July 2 after a Uniontown resident said the suspect threatened to harm her and her family.

Wayne County

Arrest

Alvin Robinson, 26, of Wooster, was arrested July 8 on charges of breaking and entering and theft.

Breaking and entering

Fourteen wrenches valued at $400 and $20 were taken July 7 from Tope's Peat Moss, 7717 Dalton Fox Lake Road, Baughman Township.

A total of $372 in cash, including $40 in a 4-H candy sale, was taken July 3 from Marshallville Equity, Marshallville. Damage to a steel door was estimated at $500.

Criminal damaging

Someone smashed a mirror and the front window of a vehicle July 3 at a bridge under construction by V.O. Menuez & Son of Millersburg at Hametown and Clinton roads, Chippewa Township.

Domestic violence

A 28-year-old Marshallville woman reported July 4 that her ex-husband pulled her hair during a quarrel at a home in the 1100 block of Milltown Road, Wayne Township.

Robbery

A 51-year-old Apple Creek man reported that someone took $160 from him July 5 in the parking lot of Dollar General, 3541 E. Lincoln Way, Wooster Township.

Wooster
Arrest

Gary M. Maynard, 35, of Wooster, was arrested July 3 on a charge of assault.
