Akron
Charges dropped
Felony theft charges were dropped July 29 against Matthew P. Waszkiewicz, 40, of Lindenwood Avenue. He had been accused July 22 of taking a 1993 Ford F-150 without permission.

Thefts

A TV and a Wii video game system were missing after a burglary reported Aug. 2 in the 1000 block of Belden Avenue.

A man, 40, was found Aug. 2 at South Main Street and Stanton Avenue with a cut across his nose. He told police he had been assaulted and robbed of $100 and morphine pills.

A burglary was reported Aug. 1 in the 200 block of Gale Street. According to a police report, the resident was sleeping when she heard a noise shortly after 3 a.m. and saw a man climbing through her living room window. He fled when she screamed.

A break-in was reported July 31 at AJ's Drive Thru, 417 Russell Ave. Someone broke through the rear brick wall and stole about $5,200, prepaid cell phones, 150 phone cards and numerous boxes of cigars.

A burglary was reported July 31 in the 800 block of Amherst Street. A resident reported hearing a basement window break and looked out a bedroom window to see two young men standing near the broken window. One tried to crawl inside, but they fled when they saw the resident looking at them.

A burglary was reported July 31 in the 300 block of East Thornton Street. The resident heard a window open and got out of bed to check on the noise. He saw a man entering his kitchen window and yelled at him, chasing him off.

Anglia Brewster, 39, of Brighton, was charged July 31 with receiving stolen property/auto. Brewster is accused of having a 2008 Subaru Forester that had been rented but never returned.

Dale A. Shaffer, 49, of the 200 block of East Market Street, was charged July 30 with breaking and entering, possession of criminal tools and obstructing. Police said they responded to an alarm at Universal Tire Mold, 323 N. Arlington St., and found that a window and door had been forced. Police said they saw on the ground several pieces of copper wire and a black leather vest with distinctive stitching. They said they then heard a rustling sound in the woods nearby and saw a man emerge. When the man saw police, he ran back into the woods. The man was later identified as a former employee.

Ricardo L. Allison, 26, of Rhodes Avenue, was charged July 30 with aggravated burglary, felonious assault and intimidation of a victim. Police said that on July 12, a Brown Street resident told them Allison was dealing drugs in front of her apartment house. Police said they questioned him. Allison is accused of threatening the woman later that evening. He also is accused of kicking in her door and assaulting her three days later. The woman, 53, suffered a broken wrist and finger, police said.

Guy M. Sancic, 58, of the 700 block of Fultz Street, was charged July 29 with receiving stolen property/auto. Police said they saw him driving a U-haul box truck that had been reported stolen.

Frank T. Turner, 45, of the 600 block of Madison Avenue, was charged July 28 with theft. Turner is accused of concealing four packages of meat under his armpit at Save-A-Lot, 1400 S. Arlington St. A woman who accompanied allegedly hid items in her purse but was able to flee, the report said.

A 48-year-old man told police July 24 that he was robbed while in the 700 block of North Main Street. Two men approached him and one brandished a handgun, demanding the man's wallet. The report said that when the victim reached for the gun, the second robber hit him on the head. The assailants fled with the wallet, which contained $1,048, the report said.

Domestic violence

Eugene J. Davis, 31, of the 1000 block of Diagonal Road, was charged Aug. 2 with felonious assault; he is accused of stabbing a man in the stomach. The victim also had a small wound on his leg, reports said.

A 27-year-old man was shot in the leg Aug. 1 by an acquaintance near Kelly and Ninth avenues.

William G. Watkins, 65, of the 1200 block of Sherman Street, was charged July 30 with felony domestic violence and aggravated menacing. Watkins is accused of punching his girlfriend in the stomach, kicking her in the buttocks, grabbing her in a headlock and threatening to kill her.

Lisa M. Ritsko, 42, of the 200 block of North Martha Avenue, was charged July 30 with domestic violence. Ritsko is accused of hitting another woman.

Miscellaneous

Gary Yeager, 18, of the 1100 block of Cumberland Drive, was charged July 31 with possession of crack cocaine, trafficking in drugs, discharging a firearm in city limits and inducing panic. Yeager is accused of firing a shot in the air on Moon Street and then running down an alley.

John A. Henterly, 30, of Norton, was charged July 31 with prostitution, public indecency and loitering. Tiffany Coon, 27, of the 900 block of Shoshone Avenue, was charged with prostitution and public indecency. Henterly is accused of picking Coon up and driving to an apartment parking lot at East Buchtel Avenue and North Arlington Street, where the two allegedly engaged in intercourse while people were out and about, reports said.

Andre D. Carter, 25, of the 900 block of Carpenter Street, and James T. Curley, 25, of the 1000 block of Florida Avenue, were charged July 30 with carrying a concealed weapon, having weapons illegally and obstructing.

David Jones, 18, of the 1600 block of Shirley Avenue, was charged July 30 with trafficking in drugs, possession of marijuana, accompanying juveniles after curfew and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said they found five baggies of marijuana, a digital scale and cigars. Two juveniles in the car, a 17-year-old Cuyahoga Falls boy and a 14-year-old North Howard Street boy, were charged with trafficking in drugs, possession of marijuana and being unruly.

Dominic Jackson, 18, of the 700 block of Brown Street, was charged July 25 with illegal manufacture of drugs, possession of drugs and possession of criminal tools. Detectives said they responded to a fight with weapons at East South and Brown streets and were led to Jackson's residence, where they said they found bullets on the floor in the attic, along with a digital scale coated with cocaine. They said they were given consent to search and found about 30 grams of crack cocaine, $284, a box of plastic bags and a glass jar with cocaine residue. Joseph Davis, 20, of the same address, had been charged July 17 with the same crimes as Jackson.

Michael G. Verich, 54, was charged July 23 with activities prohibited without a permit. Verich is the owner/operator of Ohio Brewing Co., 222 S. Main St. On July 3, he was warned by police, who said he was selling beer outside the premises to people walking by. Sales continued the following day. An employee was cited on July 4.

Barberton
Arson

Someone set fire to a paper recycling bin in the 800 block of Wooster Road North behind Portage School. The fire was extinguished and the paper wet down so it would not relight.

Theft

Spouting was stolen from a garage in the 500 block of Harrington Avenue during the night of July 30-31.

A Second Street Southwest woman reported July 31 that she never received a check she expected in the mail by July 3. The check has been cashed.

Copley Township
Identification theft

A Treetop Drive woman reported July 30 that someone has been using her driver's license number to cash checks at businesses throughout the area. She said her license and credit cards had been stolen earlier.

Coventry Township
Arrest

David Wilson, 27, of Greenhill Drive, was booked into the Summit County Jail on a charge of assault July 28; a Barberton man said he was punched in the chest several times and pushed at a Manchester Road location.

Arson

 

Deputies are investigating a July 30 report that someone destroyed a Palmer Drive resident's mailbox with a pipe bomb.
Breaking and entering

A Fig Drive resident told deputies July 27 that a roll of heating and air-conditioning copper valued at $500 was stolen from his garage.

Cuyahoga Falls
Thefts

A $250 mountain bike was reported stolen Aug. 1 from a garage in the 1700 block of Myrtle Avenue.

Bryan A. Black, 23, of the 1600 block of 20th Street, was charged July 29 with theft and possession of drug instruments. Black is accused of stealing his sister's Playstation 2 and having syringes, spoons, razors and tweezers in his possession.

A miniature schnauzer puppy was reported stolen July 27 from ABC Dog Grooming, 1930 Portage Trail. An employee told police a man was looking at dogs for about 20 minutes. When the employee answered the phone, he took the $500 puppy and left the store.

Miscellaneous

Animal cruelty was reported Aug. 1 in the 3200 block of Prange Drive. A report said someone intentionally injured a kitten, causing head injuries. The kitten died.

A woman became destructive July 30 at Payday Loans, 696 Howe Ave. A report said she threw papers around the lobby and grabbed the computer mouse cord through a security window, breaking it.

An 11th Street resident told police July 30 that four men in a gold vehicle drove by his home and threw eggs at him. One egg struck him in the stomach.

A man told police July 30 that a man in a white vehicle threw an egg at him while in the area of Fourth Street and Sackett Avenue. He was struck in the hand.

Breaking and entering

Someone broke into the city's storage barn at 951 Cleveland-Massillon Road. Nothing appeared to be missing.

Theft

An Akron woman, 51, reported July 31 that her wallet was taken while she was shopping in the Summit Mall area. When she called to cancel her credit card, she found that it had been used fraudulently at an area business.

Arrests

Kyle Wilson, 22, of Ardendale Avenue, Akron, was jailed July 31 in Summit County on charges of forgery and receiving stolen property. He was accused of trying to cash a check with a forged name. Police said he fled the South Arlington Road bank branch when questioned about the signature, and was arrested at his home.

 

Holly Sausman, 33, of Massillon Road, was charged with domestic violence and booked in Summit County on July 31; she is accused of striking a man in the face, ripping his shirt and threatening him with a hammer.

Amanda Baine, 21, of Mayfair Road, was jailed in Summit County on an assault charge after an incident at her residence July 28.

William Drake, 42, of Kreighbaum Road, was booked at the Summit jail on July 26; he is accused of punching a woman in the face several times.

Jacob Ross, 22, of Foxhaven Avenue Northwest, Jackson Township, was jailed July 26 on a charge of breaking and entering; Summit sheriff's deputies said he was seen leaving a West Turkeyfoot Lake Road business through a broken window and was caught during a chase on foot.

Thefts

A $2,000 laptop, a Blackberry and a briefcase were taken July 30 from an unlocked vehicle in the 8000 block of Winterberry Drive.

A satellite radio, $200 and a GPS unit valued at $650 were taken July 28 from two unlocked vehicles on Colony Drive.

An iPod and a GPS unit were taken from a vehicle July 31 in the 7600 block of Oxgate Court.

A radio, calculator and CDs were taken July 31 from a vehicle in the 2700 block of Hudson-Aurora Road.

Miscellaneous

Someone activated a makeshift incendiary device July 31 in the driveway of a Stonehaven Court residence. It failed to detonate because of the ''perpetrator's ineptitude,'' a report said.

Paul J. Eberling, 19, of the 7300 block of Herrick Park Drive, was charged July 30 with operating a vehicle under the influence.

Theft

A trailer valued at $6,000 was stolen July 27 from a Canton Road business.

Arrests

Richard Bracken Jr., 39, of Greenwich Road, was charged July 29 with theft and criminal trespassing. He is accused of stealing an item and $50 in quarters from a car parked in the 3300 block of Columbia Woods Drive.

Assault

The mother of a freshman Norton High School marching band member attending band camp at the school reported that her daughter was punched in the chest by an older band member. The girl was told by other students that the punch was initiation into the band. One of the band teachers spoke to the older girl, who said she did not mean to hurt the younger girl. The younger girl's mother said she will not press charges if the principal ''takes care of the situation.''

Breaking and entering

Prescription painkillers were taken July 28 during a break-in at Medicine Shoppe, 3300 Greenwich Road. The burglar smashed the drive-through window to enter the pharmacy. Nearly 2,000 tablets of Vicodin and hydrocodone were taken.

Hand tools valued at $500 were taken from a storage unit at Sentry Store All, 2995 Newpark Drive, during a break-in July 19.

Arrests

Cynthia Lauffer, 23, of Elbon Avenue, Akron, was jailed July 28; police said she admitted she took $564 from a cash register at a South Arlington Road retail store.

A Milo White Drive boy, 16, was held in the Summit County Juvenile Detention Center on July 26 on charges of felonious assault, aggravated burglary and assault; he is accused of stabbing a Surfside Drive man in the hand and trying to stab him in the neck.

Katrina Schuster, 31, of South Arlington Road, was jailed in Summit County on July 26; a man said she forced her way into the house and locked him in a bedroom.

Thefts

A Utica Avenue man said 70 compact discs valued at $1,050 were taken from his car after a passenger window was broken July 25.

An Akron woman told police July 24 that a lock was broken on her truck's rear sliding glass window, allowing a thief to taken an iPod and GPS unit valued at $567.

Randy W. Krocker, 49, of the 3000 block of Kent Road, was charged July 30 with felony operation of a vehicle under the influence, driving under suspension and falsification.

Eric M. Burt, 35, of Southlake, Texas, was charged July 27 with operating a vehicle under the influence and crossing marked lanes.

Sharon R. Grosse-Johnson, 48, of the 2800 block of Wexford Boulevard, was charged July 26 with operating a vehicle under the influence, weaving and crossing marked lanes.

Public indecency was reported July 31 at Wyoga Lake Park, 580 Wyoga Lake Blvd. Two girls walking along a path said they saw a man with his shorts around his ankles.

The rape of a 13-year-old was reported July 29. It occurred in 2007.

Arrests

Barbara A. Carter, 44, of Foundry Road, was charged July 28 with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Police, standing by at the Foundry Road address while a man retrieved property, arrested Carter for allegedly causing a disturbance.

A Miner Drive man reported July 29 that he returned from a trip to find beer cans, condom wrappers and cigarette butts scattered throughout his apartment.

A High Street woman reported July 25 that a male acquaintance made threatening calls to her cellular phone.

A Grandview Avenue resident reported July 31 that someone shot out the back window of his Jeep, which was parked at his home. Damage was estimated at $300.

Charles Mullen, 26, of Redwing Drive, turned himself in to Canal Fulton police on July 29 and was booked at the Stark County Jail on two counts of trafficking in heroin and one count of receiving stolen property.

Patrick Thomas, 22, of Cherokee Drive Northwest, was arrested at his home Aug. 2 and jailed on a warrant accusing him of theft and forgery.

Kasondra Hardnett, 19, of Irvin Street, Akron, was jailed in Stark County on Aug. 1 after being arrested on a warrant charging passing bad checks.

Diane Davis, 48, of Franklin Avenue, Kent, was jailed in Stark County on July 31 after her arrest on Dressler Road Northwest on charges of theft and possession of drug abuse instruments, drug paraphernalia and drugs.

Eric Hoffman, 36, of Akron, was jailed in Stark County on July 30 on a theft warrant filed a week earlier.

Rape

Police are investigating a rape reported July 27 by a woman who listed a Sunset Strip Avenue Northwest motel as her residence. She said she was held there against her will and sexually assaulted.

Assaults

Police were seeking a man who came into the Fulton Drive Northwest workplace of a woman and pushed her against a wall, then into a patient's room, where he allegedly grabbed the victim by the throat and spit on her before leaving.

Police said a Navarre man was struck in the head and face several times by an angry motorist as the victim remained in his vehicle in the parking lot of a Portage Street Northwest truck stop.

Breaking and entering

Someone broke into a Sunset Strip Avenue Northwest asphalt company and took 450 feet of welding lead valued at $1,179.

Thefts

Jewelry valued at $6,400 was taken during the last week of July from a Limerick Avenue Northwest woman's jewelry box.

A Beryl Street Northwest woman said five pieces of mail, including a $700 check on her bank account, were taken from her mailbox July 31. All but the check were found ripped up near the mailbox.

A catalytic converter system valued at $739 was taken from a truck belonging to a Dressler Road Northwest store employee while it was parked in the store's lot.

A Stillwater Avenue Northwest man reported a $2,450 diamond ring was taken from his home in mid-July.

A Portage Street Northwest church spokeswoman said a five-gallon water jug containing about $800 in cash and checks for an orphanage in Lima, Peru, was stolen from inside a church entrance July 24,

A Ravenna woman told Stark sheriff's deputies that between July 29 and Aug. 1, someone dismantled her locker at a Hartville horse breeding facility on Market Avenue North and stole the property inside.

Daniel Cheetham, 18, of Applegrove Street Northwest, was booked at the Stark County Jail Aug. 3 after being arrested on North Main Street and charged with receiving stolen property.

A Creekside Circle Northeast woman told police July 27 that numerous items, worth a total of $595, were stolen from two vehicles parked at the residence.

A New Concord resident reported July 26 that a $9,000 laptop computer and accessories were stolen from his vehicle while it was parked on Carol Street Northeast.

Shawn Wilson, 28, of Brookdale Avenue Northwest, was jailed in Stark County on July 26 on charges of assault and disorderly conduct. He is accused of striking another person several times while at his residence.

Terence Gombert, 46, of Mahogany Street Northwest, was jailed on a charge of domestic violence. A woman said she was pushed during a quarrel at the house.

They said they were given consent to search and found about 30 grams of crack cocaine, $284, a box of plastic bags and a glass jar with cocaine residue. Joseph Davis, 20, of the same address, had been charged July 17 with the same crimes as Jackson.

Michael G. Verich, 54, was charged July 23 with activities prohibited without a permit. Verich is the owner/operator of Ohio Brewing Co., 222 S. Main St. On July 3, he was warned by police, who said he was selling beer outside the premises to people walking by. Sales continued the following day. An employee was cited on July 4.

Someone set fire to a paper recycling bin in the 800 block of Wooster Road North behind Portage School. The fire was extinguished and the paper wet down so it would not relight.

Spouting was stolen from a garage in the 500 block of Harrington Avenue during the night of July 30-31.

A Second Street Southwest woman reported July 31 that she never received a check she expected in the mail by July 3. The check has been cashed.

A Treetop Drive woman reported July 30 that someone has been using her driver's license number to cash checks at businesses throughout the area. She said her license and credit cards had been stolen earlier.

David Wilson, 27, of Greenhill Drive, was booked into the Summit County Jail on a charge of assault July 28; a Barberton man said he was punched in the chest several times and pushed at a Manchester Road location.

Deputies are investigating a July 30 report that someone destroyed a Palmer Drive resident's mailbox with a pipe bomb.

A Fig Drive resident told deputies July 27 that a roll of heating and air-conditioning copper valued at $500 was stolen from his garage.

Thefts

A $250 mountain bike was reported stolen Aug. 1 from a garage in the 1700 block of Myrtle Avenue.

Bryan A. Black, 23, of the 1600 block of 20th Street, was charged July 29 with theft and possession of drug instruments. Black is accused of stealing his sister's Playstation 2 and having syringes, spoons, razors and tweezers in his possession.

A miniature schnauzer puppy was reported stolen July 27 from ABC Dog Grooming, 1930 Portage Trail. An employee told police a man was looking at dogs for about 20 minutes. When the employee answered the phone, he took the $500 puppy and left the store.

Animal cruelty was reported Aug. 1 in the 3200 block of Prange Drive. A report said someone intentionally injured a kitten, causing head injuries. The kitten died.

A woman became destructive July 30 at Payday Loans, 696 Howe Ave. A report said she threw papers around the lobby and grabbed the computer mouse cord through a security window, breaking it.

An 11th Street resident told police July 30 that four men in a gold vehicle drove by his home and threw eggs at him. One egg struck him in the stomach.

A man told police July 30 that a man in a white vehicle threw an egg at him while in the area of Fourth Street and Sackett Avenue. He was struck in the hand.

Someone broke into the city's storage barn at 951 Cleveland-Massillon Road. Nothing appeared to be missing.

Theft

An Akron woman, 51, reported July 31 that her wallet was taken while she was shopping in the Summit Mall area. When she called to cancel her credit card, she found that it had been used fraudulently at an area business.

Arrests

Kyle Wilson, 22, of Ardendale Avenue, Akron, was jailed July 31 in Summit County on charges of forgery and receiving stolen property. He was accused of trying to cash a check with a forged name. Police said he fled the South Arlington Road bank branch when questioned about the signature, and was arrested at his home.

 

Holly Sausman, 33, of Massillon Road, was charged with domestic violence and booked in Summit County on July 31; she is accused of striking a man in the face, ripping his shirt and threatening him with a hammer.

Amanda Baine, 21, of Mayfair Road, was jailed in Summit County on an assault charge after an incident at her residence July 28.

William Drake, 42, of Kreighbaum Road, was booked at the Summit jail on July 26; he is accused of punching a woman in the face several times.

Jacob Ross, 22, of Foxhaven Avenue Northwest, Jackson Township, was jailed July 26 on a charge of breaking and entering; Summit sheriff's deputies said he was seen leaving a West Turkeyfoot Lake Road business through a broken window and was caught during a chase on foot.

A $2,000 laptop, a Blackberry and a briefcase were taken July 30 from an unlocked vehicle in the 8000 block of Winterberry Drive.

A satellite radio, $200 and a GPS unit valued at $650 were taken July 28 from two unlocked vehicles on Colony Drive.

An iPod and a GPS unit were taken from a vehicle July 31 in the 7600 block of Oxgate Court.

A radio, calculator and CDs were taken July 31 from a vehicle in the 2700 block of Hudson-Aurora Road.

Someone activated a makeshift incendiary device July 31 in the driveway of a Stonehaven Court residence. It failed to detonate because of the ''perpetrator's ineptitude,'' a report said.

Paul J. Eberling, 19, of the 7300 block of Herrick Park Drive, was charged July 30 with operating a vehicle under the influence.

A trailer valued at $6,000 was stolen July 27 from a Canton Road business.

Arrests

Richard Bracken Jr., 39, of Greenwich Road, was charged July 29 with theft and criminal trespassing. He is accused of stealing an item and $50 in quarters from a car parked in the 3300 block of Columbia Woods Drive.

Assault

The mother of a freshman Norton High School marching band member attending band camp at the school reported that her daughter was punched in the chest by an older band member. The girl was told by other students that the punch was initiation into the band. One of the band teachers spoke to the older girl, who said she did not mean to hurt the younger girl. The younger girl's mother said she will not press charges if the principal ''takes care of the situation.''

Breaking and entering

Prescription painkillers were taken July 28 during a break-in at Medicine Shoppe, 3300 Greenwich Road. The burglar smashed the drive-through window to enter the pharmacy. Nearly 2,000 tablets of Vicodin and hydrocodone were taken.

Hand tools valued at $500 were taken from a storage unit at Sentry Store All, 2995 Newpark Drive, during a break-in July 19.

Cynthia Lauffer, 23, of Elbon Avenue, Akron, was jailed July 28; police said she admitted she took $564 from a cash register at a South Arlington Road retail store.

A Milo White Drive boy, 16, was held in the Summit County Juvenile Detention Center on July 26 on charges of felonious assault, aggravated burglary and assault; he is accused of stabbing a Surfside Drive man in the hand and trying to stab him in the neck.

Katrina Schuster, 31, of South Arlington Road, was jailed in Summit County on July 26; a man said she forced her way into the house and locked him in a bedroom.

Thefts

A Utica Avenue man said 70 compact discs valued at $1,050 were taken from his car after a passenger window was broken July 25.

An Akron woman told police July 24 that a lock was broken on her truck's rear sliding glass window, allowing a thief to taken an iPod and GPS unit valued at $567.

Sharon R. Grosse-Johnson, 48, of the 2800 block of Wexford Boulevard, was charged July 26 with operating a vehicle under the influence, weaving and crossing marked lanes.

Kasondra Hardnett, 19, of Irvin Street, Akron, was jailed in Stark County on Aug. 1 after being arrested on a warrant charging passing bad checks.

Diane Davis, 48, of Franklin Avenue, Kent, was jailed in Stark County on July 31 after her arrest on Dressler Road Northwest on charges of theft and possession of drug abuse instruments, drug paraphernalia and drugs.

Eric Hoffman, 36, of Akron, was jailed in Stark County on July 30 on a theft warrant filed a week earlier.

Rape

Police are investigating a rape reported July 27 by a woman who listed a Sunset Strip Avenue Northwest motel as her residence. She said she was held there against her will and sexually assaulted.

Assaults

Police were seeking a man who came into the Fulton Drive Northwest workplace of a woman and pushed her against a wall, then into a patient's room, where he allegedly grabbed the victim by the throat and spit on her before leaving.

Police said a Navarre man was struck in the head and face several times by an angry motorist as the victim remained in his vehicle in the parking lot of a Portage Street Northwest truck stop.

Someone broke into a Sunset Strip Avenue Northwest asphalt company and took 450 feet of welding lead valued at $1,179.

Thefts

Jewelry valued at $6,400 was taken during the last week of July from a Limerick Avenue Northwest woman's jewelry box.

A Beryl Street Northwest woman said five pieces of mail, including a $700 check on her bank account, were taken from her mailbox July 31. All but the check were found ripped up near the mailbox.

A catalytic converter system valued at $739 was taken from a truck belonging to a Dressler Road Northwest store employee while it was parked in the store's lot.

A Stillwater Avenue Northwest man reported a $2,450 diamond ring was taken from his home in mid-July.

A Portage Street Northwest church spokeswoman said a five-gallon water jug containing about $800 in cash and checks for an orphanage in Lima, Peru, was stolen from inside a church entrance July 24,

Breaking and entering

A Ravenna woman told Stark sheriff's deputies that between July 29 and Aug. 1, someone dismantled her locker at a Hartville horse breeding facility on Market Avenue North and stole the property inside.

Daniel Cheetham, 18, of Applegrove Street Northwest, was booked at the Stark County Jail Aug. 3 after being arrested on North Main Street and charged with receiving stolen property.

Thefts

A Creekside Circle Northeast woman told police July 27 that numerous items, worth a total of $595, were stolen from two vehicles parked at the residence.

A New Concord resident reported July 26 that a $9,000 laptop computer and accessories were stolen from his vehicle while it was parked on Carol Street Northeast.

Shawn Wilson, 28, of Brookdale Avenue Northwest, was jailed in Stark County on July 26 on charges of assault and disorderly conduct. He is accused of striking another person several times while at his residence.

Terence Gombert, 46, of Mahogany Street Northwest, was jailed on a charge of domestic violence. A woman said she was pushed during a quarrel at the house.

Theft

A Moonglo Street resident told police July 31 that someone entered the family's home and took assorted jewelry worth $7,876.
