John M. Andrasak, 67, of Bedford, was charged Nov. 18 with felony theft. While employed as a community resource specialist at Catholic Social Services, Andrasak was accused of keeping cash payments from clients totaling $11,931.
Evon Grogan, 44, was charged Nov. 17 with two counts of breaking and entering. Police said Grogan was found hiding in a drawer of a South Balch Street residence. Food from a neighboring home was found in the refrigerator and all four stove burners were turned on for heat, reports said.
Keith A. Blue, 46, of the 700 block of Baltimore Avenue, was charged Nov. 14 with burglary.
A burglary was reported Nov. 24 in the 700 block of Ardella Avenue. A safe, a 40-inch and 20-inch television, and TV stands were reported taken.
—Domestic violence/assault
Monroe N. Mickle, 25, of the 700 block of Kling Street, was charged Nov. 18 with domestic violence and menacing. Mickle is accused of punching a mattress that a woman was sitting on. Police said the woman had bruises on her arms.
Nathaniel Crosby Jr., 50, of the 1200 block of Frederick Boulevard, was charged Nov. 17 with felonious assault and domestic violence. Crosby is accused of punching a woman repeatedly in the face after she accused him of taking her money and possessions. Police said the woman sustained multiple injuries, including loose teeth and a large gash on her forehead.
A rape was reported Nov. 22 by a 30-year-old woman.
A man suffered a gunshot wound Nov. 22 on Sherman Street. He told police that he encountered a group of black men in an apartment building courtyard when he heard gunshots. He felt a sharp pain in his back and his legs went numb, reports said.
Kathleen M. Baumgarten, 51, of the 1500 block of Preston Avenue, was charged Nov. 18 with domestic violence. A man called police seeking help in recovering money he said Baumgarten had stolen from him. While officers were at the residence, Baumgarten shoved the man against the wall, reports said.

Alexander J. Cocuzza, 25, of the 2200 block of Bigelow Street, was charged Nov. 22 with possession of drugs, possession of criminal tools and possession of drug abuse instruments. Police were waved down at Chester Avenue and Bigelow Street and were informed that three individuals were trying to buy drugs when Cocuzza approached and said he was going to beat them up and take their money, reports said. The men said Cocuzza pointed a gun at them and demanded their money before hitting one of them in the face with the gun, breaking the man's nose. Police searched Cocuzza's residence and reported finding anabolic steroids, a scale and a syringe.

Robert Jackson, 58 and homeless, was booked Nov. 19 at the Summit County Jail on a charge of breaking and entering after police said he was found hiding in a vacant Manchester Road home's bedroom closet.

Thieves ransacked a North Turkeyfoot Lake Road home Nov. 15, fleeing with TVs, a laptop computer and other merchandise, with an estimated value of $2,394, reports said.

Reports said two men filled a cart with groceries and attempted to load them into a car Nov. 18 at the Acme supermarket, 2630 Bailey Road.
A Sirius satellite radio valued at $700 was reported stolen Nov. 19 from an unlocked 1997 Honda CRV on 16th Street.
Items were reported stolen Nov. 19 from an unlocked Powers Plumbing Services van on Schiller Avenue. A heater, kerosene, drill and saws were reported taken. The items were valued at $800.

Tarell M. Fain, 25, was charged Nov. 22 with operating a vehicle under the influence, criminal trespass, fleeing and driving under suspension.
James F. Cramer II, of State Road, was charged Nov. 23 with domestic violence. He was accused of throwing his girlfriend into a radiator.

Andra Jenkins, 37, of Roulac Circle, Akron, was jailed on Nov. 14 after authorities said she tried to cash a stolen check for $425 at a South Arlington Road bank branch. Summit sheriff's deputies reported finding stolen checks in her possession.

A computer, guitar and other items, valued at $3,524, were reported stolen Nov. 14 from the home on Woodland Drive. Ten gallons of gasoline were reported taken from a shed in the backyard.

A Hidden Lake Boulevard woman told police Nov. 15 that she was assaulted at her home by a man. She said the man threatened more harm if she called police and damaged a cell phone in her vehicle. He fled before officers arrived.

A framing nailer and other items, valued at $660, were reported stolen Nov. 14 from a Manchester Road resident's garage.
A sport utility vehicle was broken into on Nov. 13 at a South Main Street photo studio. Camera equipment and accessories, with an estimated value of $3,479, were reported stolen.

Zachary Pitingoro, 23, of Alta Vista, was charged with domestic violence. He is accused of ripping an earring out of a relative's ear during an argument.

Electronic game systems, games, DVD movies and other items, with an estimated value of $4,730, were reported stolen Nov. 16 from a Shanafelt Avenue storage facility. The lock was cut on the storage unit, reports said.
A lock was cut off a storage unit behind a Canton Road pharmacy Nov. 14. Reported stolen were greeting cards, Christmas displays, coffee and cosmetics, with an estimated total value of $3,308.

Ryan C. Harrah, 33, of the 1600 block of Newberry Street, Cuyahoga Falls, was charged Nov. 20 with burglary.

John E. Bergdorf, 39, of the 1300 block of Northeast Avenue, was charged Nov. 21 with domestic violence. Reports said Bergdorf grabbed a woman by the throat and threw her across a room several times.

Newell J. Brown, 37, of Philadelphia, was charged Nov. 22 with trafficking in marijuana. Police said Brown had 12 bags containing 212 grams of marijuana and $1,261 cash in his possession.

David N. Armstrong, 33, of the 700 block of Grove Avenue, was charged Nov. 23 with domestic violence.
Jason D. Miller, 23, of the 900 block of Eva Avenue, Akron, was charged Nov. 22 with domestic violence.
Brian K. Hamilton, 46, of the 200 block of Cherry Street, was charged Nov. 19 with two counts of domestic violence and vandalism.

Michael P.A. Miller, 26, of the 1600 block of Morris Road, was charged Nov. 23 with operating a vehicle under the influence and failing to signal a turn. He refused a breath test, reports said.
Cindy L. Hausch, 50, of the 3000 block of Wexford Boulevard, Stow, was charged Nov. 21 with operating a vehicle under the influence and failing to maintain an assured clear distance. The charges stemmed from an accident on Middlebury Road.
Christopher L. Hawkins Jr., 47, of the 200 block of Linden Street, was charged Nov. 21 with operating a vehicle under the influence and failure to control. Police said Hawkins was involved in a crash on South Depeyster Street and was found hiding in a basement on East College Street. He refused a breath test, reports said.

Eugene ''Chops'' Fortson, 34, of the 1000 block of Independence Avenue, Akron, was charged Nov. 23 with assault.

A woman told police Nov. 22 that a plow truck piled snow behind her vehicle while it was parked in the Lowe's parking lot. When the driver left, he beeped his horn and waved at her. The woman wanted the man arrested, reports said. According to reports, she said, ''What if I have a heart attack clearing this snow? I am 46 years old and overweight!''

—Arrest
Jeffrey Heitger, 55, of Stonebridge Street Northwest, was booked Nov. 17 at the Stark County Jail on a domestic violence charge. He is accused of striking a woman in the face with a ball of yarn before shoving it into her mouth and throwing her off a chair.
—Robberies
A township resident said she was in her vehicle in her carport Nov. 15 when persons brandishing a firearm demanded her purse. A window was broken with the butt of the gun and her purse was taken. She was injured by the broken glass.
Two Oklahoma men said several people forced themselves into their Everhard Road Northwest motel room, assaulted them Nov. 15 and took an undisclosed amount of cash. Both victims were treated at a Canton hospital.

A Hills and Dales Road Northwest man said Nov. 20 that a log splitter was stolen from his driveway. He estimated its value at $2,399.
A Dressler Road Northwest restaurant worker said Nov. 15 that a window of his car was broken and a laptop computer, electronic equipment and cash, with an estimated value of $1,333, were stolen while at work.
Several computers and software, valued at $2,349, were reported stolen over a three-month period from a Promway Avenue Northwest business, police learned Nov. 13.

Nicholas Palombo, 18, of Holl Road Northeast, was jailed on Nov. 18 on a charge of felonious assault. The charge stems from an incident Nov. 5 in which a person was stabbed twice in the stomach with a knife at the Holl Road residence.

A Red Coach Street Southeast woman reported Nov. 15 that her home was broken into. Jewelry, a computer and other items, valued at $3,035, were stolen.
—Bad checks
An Applegrove Street Northwest business spokesperson reported that bad checks, totaling $3,091, were used by a customer to make three purchases in the last several weeks. The company discovered later that two of the checks came back for non-sufficient funds and the third was issued on a closed account.

A necklace and diamond cross, valued at $1,200 was reported stolen Nov. 17 from a South Main Street apartment.
On Nov. 13, two rings and other items, valued at $2,672, were reported stolen from another South Main Street location.
A Holl Road Northeast man said his vehicle was entered by force earlier this month and a $2,400 laptop computer was stolen.

Errika Blasingame, 31, of Spring Avenue Northeast, Canton, was booked at the Stark County jail Nov. 20 on a felony grand theft warrant.
