Demetrius R. Bailey, 20, of Patterson Avenue, was charged Jan. 3 with attempted murder, felonious assault, receiving stolen property, carrying a concealed weapon, having a weapon with arrest warrants, having an open liquor container in his vehicle and possessing liquor. In the same incident, Samuel Williams III, 19, of Garfield Street, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, receiving stolen property, having a weapon with arrest warrants, having an open liquor container in the car and possessing liquor under age. The two motorists reportedly got in a quarrel with two pedestrians about who was next in line at a drive-through convenience store. Williams allegedly put a pistol under one man's chin and pulled the trigger, but the gun did not fire. Williams also allegedly hit a man in the head with a bottle.
Teri R. Garko, 33, of Highland Avenue, was charged with felonious assault Dec. 30 after she allegedly broke a beer bottle and stabbed a man under the left eye at Centerfolds Bar on East Archwood Avenue. Garko told police that she was looking for a job at the bar when the man asked her to perform favors.
Timothy R. Rogers, 19, of Rocky Brook Drive, and Darrell Deshawn Moore, 18, of Hogue Avenue, were charged with aggravated robbery Dec. 31 after they allegedly robbed a pizza deliverer of $45 at gunpoint in the 100 block of Kimlyn Circle.
Robberies
An Akron man, 34, told police that two men demanded money from him Jan. 2 as he walked along April Court. When he said he didn't have any cash, one man stabbed him in the face, giving him a 3-inch cut on his left cheek.
A Cuyahoga Falls man, 34, reported being stabbed Jan. 3 in the 500 block of North Main Street. Police said the victim took two women to his car and one offered sexual favors for money. When the man declined, a woman stabbed him in the left hand, which held his wallet. The two women took the victim's keys and wallet, which contained about $30.
Two intruders pushed their way into a home in the 100 block of North Arlington Street on Dec. 31. The residents — a woman, 58, and man, 54 — said an intruder pointed a gun at the victims and fired a shot into the ceiling.
A Black Street man, 29, reported he was cut and robbed Jan. 3 when two men confronted him in his garage. They slashed his forearm and stole two rings, total value $1,200.
A Kastle Pizza delivery man, 38, was robbed at gunpoint Dec. 29 in the 1200 block of Rentar Lane. A robber pointed a handgun at the deliverer and stole two large pizzas, 24 wings, two orders of breadsticks, $40 and two insulated pizza bags, total value $250.
A man, 34, was robbed at gunpoint Dec. 30 in the 700 block of Chalker Street as he attempted to make a delivery for House Gourmet. Robbers pointed a gun at him, stole General Tso's chicken and $80, and ran away. The house was found to be vacant.

A rape was reported Jan. 1 in the 800 block of East Exchange Street.
A rape was reported Jan. 1 in the 400 block of South Canton Road.
A rape was reported Jan. 2 in the 300 block of Beltz Court.
A rape was reported Jan. 3 in the 600 block of North Main Street.
Assault
A West Cedar Street man, 20, reported he was hit with a beer bottle Jan. 1 at Whiskey Dick's bar on East Exchange Street. Police said two other men were fighting and one threw a beer bottle that hit the victim. He was treated for a skull fracture at Akron General Medical Center.
Burglaries
A Wadsworth man, 56, reported someone broke into a vacant house in the 100 block of Eber Avenue and stole $16,000 worth of carpet between Dec. 25 and Dec. 30.
A flat-screen television, a laptop computer, total value $2,000, $500 in cash and $120 in miscellaneous meats were reported stolen Dec. 30 from a home in the 300 block of Madison Avenue.

John Taliercio, 53, of 22nd Street Northwest, was charged with assault Jan. 4 after he allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend. He told police she stole his wallet.
Beau R. Kepler, 39, of 20th Street Southwest, was charged Jan. 2 with obstructing official business, driving under suspension, failure to control and hit-skip after he allegedly crashed a car into a telephone pole on Wooster Road West and drove off.
Joyce McKenzie, 69, of West Tuscarawas Avenue, was charged Jan. 6 with vandalism and criminal damaging after she allegedly flooded the apartment building where she lives.
Burglary
A battery-controlled health device valued at $2,000 was among items stolen from a home Jan. 6 in the 300 block of Lamberton Avenue.
Video games were taken from a home in the 300 block of East Park Avenue between Dec. 22 and 30.
Theft
A hearing aid valued at $2,800 was stolen from a resident of an Austin Drive assisted living center around Dec. 21. She told police she waited to report the theft, hoping it would turn up.

Arrest
Cassandra R. Smith, 38, of Akron, was charged Jan. 8 with assault after she allegedly struck a co-worker, 34, at Motel Six, 99 Rothrock Road.

Thomas E. Kochan, 55, of Hillside Street, was charged with felonious assault Jan. 4 after he allegedly struck a person in the forehead with an aluminum baseball bat at his home.
Brandon H. Ragle, 23, of West Hunters Lake, was charged with assault, giving false information to officers, resisting arrest and obstructing official business Jan. 1 in the 1200 block of Hunters Lake. Police said Ragle struck a person twice in the face.
Kimberly Payne, 24, of Front Street, was charged with two counts of assault Dec. 29 after she allegedly jumped on and struck a person in the head and face and hit and scratched another. Police said Payne also damaged a television, microwave and refrigerator.
Burglary
A man, 36, reported that someone broke into his residence in the 2200 block of Winter Parkway and stole a 65-inch widescreen television, a CD player and about 30 DVDs. The property was valued at $2,450.
A man, 51, reported that someone entered his residence in the 2200 block of Winter Parkway and stole $80 worth of items.

Supino J. Parker, 45, of Akron, was charged Jan. 6 with receiving stolen property, theft and misuse of a credit card. Police said Parker used credit cards stolen from a Fairlawn business to buy a TV and computer, total value $2,000. A second suspect was being sought.
London Vinson, 18, of Akron, was charged Jan. 2 with robbery and theft after he allegedly stole merchandise from Macy's at Summit Mall, then threatened to shoot a security agent who tried to detain him. Police said no gun was found on Vinson when he was arrested.
Breaking and entering
A notebook computer and accessories were stolen from Supplies Guys, 66 S. Miller Road, between Dec. 30 and Jan. 5. The thief broke a glass door .

Robert Clark, 35, of Muchney Circle, was charged with domestic violence Jan. 1 after a woman said she was head-butted and struck in the face at his home.
Brent Heintz, 26, of Albrecht Avenue, Akron, was charged with assault Dec. 31 after he allegedly slapped a woman in the face and head.

Christopher L. Howard, 41, of Atterbury Boulevard, was charged with domestic violence and aggravated menacing Jan. 4 at a residence on his street. Police said Howard struck a person and ran home.
Nicholas G. Moran, 20, of Ryan Road, Medina, was charged with carrying two concealed weapons, possessing drug paraphernalia and obstructing justice Dec. 31 on West Streetsboro Road. Police said Moran was arrested on Medina warrants. Officers reported finding two knives and a smoking device in his vehicle.

Louis F. Fabre Sr., 90, of Barlow Road, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and failing to control his vehicle Jan. 3 in a one-car crash on Barlow Road. Police said he crashed into a light pole.

A Renninger Road man told police Dec. 24 that he sent money to purchase a 1974 automobile through eBay only to discover that the car didn't exist.

Ondrej Sudicki, 49, of Medina Line Road, was charged Dec. 25 with domestic violence after he allegedly assaulted his wife and son.
Burglary
A mobility scooter was stolen Dec. 30 from an enclosed porch in the 4400 block of Cleveland-Massillon Road.
Counterfeiting
A man used a counterfeit $100 bill to pay for items Jan. 5 at Duke East, 2257 Wadsworth Road. The clerk wrote down the license plate number of the man's vehicle and turned it over to police.

Timothy Kennedy, 21, of Moore Street, Akron, was charged with domestic violence and two counts of drug possession after he allegedly threw a glass at a woman in a South Arlington Road motel Dec. 23.

Someone kicked in the rear patio door of a Sherbrook Drive home Dec. 28 and stole a digital camera, record albums and a nail gun and case, total value $709.
Theft
A Lake Road resident told police that her medications were stolen Dec. 23. Six days later, she discovered that gift cards, cash and other items, total value $559, also were missing.

David J. Boggs, 40, of Oak Grove Drive, and Tamera L. Adkins, 45, of Akron, were charged Jan. 2 with possession of drugs and possession of criminal tools during a traffic stop in Interstate 76. Police reported finding methamphetamine and cocaine in the vehicle.
Randy Minor, 52, of Rittman, was charged Dec. 28 with aggravated burglary and criminal damaging after he allegedly forced his way into a room at Legacy Inn, 810 High St., and assaulted a man.

Joshua P. Jones, 28, of North Chestnut Street, was charged with intoxicated disorderly conduct Jan. 1. Police said Jones was lying in middle of Prospect Street, near Main Street, and traffic was forced to maneuver around him.

Paul Kegley, 27, of Wertz Avenue Northwest, Canton, was charged with inciting violence, carrying a concealed weapon, having a weapon under disability and possessing a defaced weapon following an altercation Dec. 26 at a Hills and Dales Road Northwest bar.
Roberta Mosey, 65, of Whyem Drive, New Franklin, was arrested on a warrant charging felony theft and forgery. She was stopped by a Summit County sheriff's deputy and turned over to Jackson police for booking Dec. 26.
Timothy Hyde, 32, of Kinloch Court Circle Northwest, was charged Dec. 26 with domestic violence after he allegedly struck and pushed a woman onto a bed three times at his residence.

Jewelry, a digital camera and a laptop computer, total value $1,325, were reported stolen Dec. 26 from a 20th Street Northwest home.

Someone climbed through an air vent at a Portage Street Northwest car wash Dec. 27 and stole equipment and a bucket of quarters, total value $2,175.
Someone shattered the front door of a Fulton Drive Northwest hair salon Dec. 23-24 and stole a $600 laptop computer.
Theft
A leather coat, saddle bag and other items, total value $2,450, were stolen Dec. 27 from a pickup truck parked at Westfield Belden Village mall.

Someone entered a Clinton Avenue Southeast home Dec. 25 and stole six pistols and ammunition, total value $2,609, from a gun cabinet.
Theft
Someone stole a coin machine Dec. 19 from a North Main Street laundry. Estimated loss was $2,900. The thief also damaged five washers and four dryers in an effort to get more money.

Roberta Mosey, 65, of Whyem Drive, New Franklin, was arrested on a warrant charging felony theft and forgery. She was stopped by a Summit County sheriff's deputy and turned over to Jackson police for booking Dec. 26.
Timothy Hyde, 32, of Kinloch Court Circle Northwest, was charged Dec. 26 with domestic violence after he allegedly struck and pushed a woman onto a bed three times at his residence.

Someone stole a coin machine Dec. 19 from a North Main Street laundry. Estimated loss was $2,900. The thief also damaged five washers and four dryers in an effort to get more money.
