Deshawn M. Jeffries, 40, of Joy Avenue, was charged with trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs Aug. 10. He is accused of possessing and selling crack cocaine to an undercover police officer on Chittenden Street and Sixth Avenue.
Dante G. Thornton, 29, of Wildwood Avenue, was charged with trafficking in drugs, possession of drugs and obstructing official business Aug. 10. Thornton is accused of selling crack cocaine to an undercover police officer on Oakdale Avenue and Crosby Street, then fleeing when approached by uniformed officers.
A Tallmadge boy, 17, was charged with trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs Aug. 10 on East Tallmadge and Schiller avenues. He is accused of selling 0.2 gram of crack to an undercover detective.
Russell A. Curtis, 20, of Fulton Street, was charged with trafficking in drugs, possession of drugs, possession of criminal tools and drug paraphernalia Aug. 11 at his home. Justin K. Gavin, 25, of Fulton Street, was charged with possession of marijuana, having weapons illegally, permitting drug abuse, and unlawful possession of dangerous ordnance, possessing criminal tools and drug paraphernalia. Reports said officers found marijuana, Xanax pills, marijuana pipes, scales, pill or marijuana grinders and baggies in Curtis' possession. Police said Gavin has a sawed-off shotgun and a large box of ammunition.
Gregory D. Bever Jr., 29, of Evans Avenue, was charged with illegally cultivating marijuana and possessing two marijuana pipes Aug. 12. Bever is accused of cultivating 13 small marijuana plants on his property.
Robbery
A 28-year-old South Adolph Avenue man reported Aug. 14 that he was robbed of $207 at gunpoint while walking on South Adams Street. The victim told police that he was approached by a man in a green Ford Explorer who asked for directions. Once he approached the driver's side window, the driver pointed a gun in his face and demanded money.
Rape
An Everton Drive woman, 18, reported Aug. 15 that she was raped by a man in the 1000 block of Johnston Street.
Theft
A laptop computer, a 37-inch television, an LCD computer monitor, two cell phones and a digital camera, valued at $2,130, were reported stolen Aug. 13 from a home in the 800 block of Johnston Street.

Arrest
Linda M. Severson, 47, of Prospect Street, was charged Aug. 19 with four counts of hit-skip, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and five minor traffic charges. Police said Severson is accused of crashing her car into four vehicles on 15th Street Northwest and Raymond Street, then leaving the scene. Officers reported finding her outside her home, trying to unlock her front door.

Stephen K. Pritt, 31, of Milan Avenue, was charged Aug. 19 with felony domestic violence. He is accused of assaulting his girlfriend while visiting her mother's Copley Road home.
Theft
A Hull Drive couple reported Aug. 13 that prescription medication was taken from their home. According to reports, someone then attempted to use the pill bottle to refill the narcotic painkiller at a local pharmacy. The pharmacy refused.

Todd L. Hower, 38, of Akron, was charged with domestic violence Aug. 16, accused of choking his ex-girlfriend and punching her in the face.
Shawn Maulis, 19, of Clyde Avenue, was charged with domestic violence Aug. 14, accused of causing minor injuries to his girlfriend and his father.
Michael J. Mills, 20, of Roosevelt Avenue, was charged with theft Aug. 12. He is accused of stealing a set of golf clubs, valued at $1,500, from an unlocked garage in the 2200 block of 11th Street and trying to sell the clubs to Play it Again Sports, a used sports equipment store.

An Akron man, 62, reported Aug. 14 that someone stole his locked red 1989 Volvo, valued at $500, while parked in the 400 block of Munroe Falls Avenue.
A mechanic for CSX Transportation reported Aug. 13 that someone broke into a storage compartment in the 200 block of East Portage Trail and stole $450 in acetylene cutting torch equipment.
The owner of Expert Masonry Inc. reported Aug. 11 that someone stole a 40-foot fiberglass extension ladder and a mortar hoe, valued at $535, from the Bailey Mini Mart construction site in Cuyahoga Falls.

Misty M. Carswell, 29, of Akron, was charged Aug. 12 with two counts of theft. Carswell, who was a Walmart cashier, is accused of keeping a $50 gift card and handing a customer an unactivated card. In another transaction, she is accused of voiding the sale of more than $100 in merchandise from a bill and allowing the customer to leave with the unpaid merchandise.
Deepani P. Samaranayake, 46, of Broadview Heights, was charged Aug. 17 with leaving children unattended in a motor vehicle. Samaranayake is accused of leaving two children, ages 11 and 5, in a running vehicle for about half an hour while she shopped at Giant Eagle, 3750 W. Market St.
Theft
A wallet containing credit cards was reported stolen from an employee's purse at Opinions inside Summit Mall on Aug. 17.

Seizer Youhana, 21, of West Nimisila Road, was booked into the Summit County Jail on Aug. 13 on a charge of domestic violence. He is accused of yelling threats at a Mayfair Road woman.
Jacqueline Burton, 31, of South Arlington Road, was jailed Aug. 10 on a domestic violence charge. She is accused of assaulting her husband during an argument.

A Newcomb Drive resident said someone entered his home and took his safe containing cash and Social Security and pension checks, valued at $15,700.

Black iron side panels, belonging to Wayne Dalton Doors and valued at $2,000, were reported stolen Aug. 13 from a truck on Greensburg Road.

Rimas J. Balas, 42, of South Hayden Parkway, was charged with domestic violence Aug. 13.

A Warrensburg Circle man, 50, reported Aug. 15 that someone stole his daughter's red Honda dirt bike, valued at $1,399, from his driveway between May 15 and July 25.
A 1969 $5 gold piece; a diamond, emerald and gold engagement ring; a gold wedding band; and a gold 1963 Chagrin Falls class ring, valued at $4,000, were reported stolen Aug. 13 by a resident of the 5800 block of Holland Drive.
Ten people reported items stolen from their 11 vehicles Aug. 13 in the Towbridge Road area. A GPS unit, an iPod, change and credit and debit cards were among the stolen items.
Seven people reported items stolen from nine vehicles Aug. 10 in the Darrow Road, Herrick Park and Abner Lane area. Among the items stolen were GPS units, iPods and three power tools.
Impersonation
An 18-year-old Stow Road man reported to police that he was pulled over on Stow Road and Victoria Parkway on Aug. 12 by a man impersonating a police officer.

David Adkins, 31, of Wilson Avenue, was jailed on a charge of domestic violence Aug. 9. He is accused of pulling his girlfriend's hair and punching and kicking her while refusing to let her leave the house.

A Yager Road man said someone entered his garage Aug. 4 and took 10 hand drills, two chain saws and other items, valued at $3,279.

Matthew Oliverio, 19, of Marshallville, was charged Aug. 16 with forgery, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs and a lane violation. Police reported stopping Oliverio for allegedly speeding on state Route 21 at Johnson Road. Officers said Oliverio failed sobriety tests and he is accused of presenting a counterfeit driver's license.
Identity theft
A Columbia Woods Drive man reported Aug. 19 that he discovered his credit report contained many accounts and medical charges that were not his.

Two handguns were reported stolen from a lockbox at a home in the 3900 block of Johnson Road on Aug. 19.
An Easton Road woman reported Aug. 18 that someone made several unauthorized transactions, totaling about $1,500, from her checking account.

David Harrell, 35, of Merrit Island, Fla., was jailed in Summit County on Aug. 6. He is accused of threatening to kill his Betz Drive sister and her children.

A Maplehurst Drive woman, 26, reported Aug. 12 that someone stole her Honda four-wheeler ATV and Fox motorcycle helmet, valued at $8,000, between Aug. 1 and 12.

The owner of Cosar Mold Inc. reported Aug. 16 that someone stole a lawn mower, a weed-cutter, a backpack blower, a motorized tiller, two edgers and power washers and two push lawn mowers, valued at $6,000, from a shed at the business on Portage Boulevard in Kent. Reports said the lock on the shed was cut.
A 2007 Honda motorcycle, valued at $4,000, was reported stolen Aug. 10 in the 400 block of West Avenue.
A red 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt and a purse containing $350 and credit cards were reported stolen Aug. 11 from a home in the 500 block of Hilltop Terrace.
A UPS box of syringes containing 100 milligrams of Lovenox, valued at $1,000, was reported stolen Aug. 11 from outside the door of a home in the 200 block of North Thomas Road.

Michael Chestnut, 40, of Hazelnut Road, Ravenna, was booked in the Stark County Jail on Aug. 13. Police said Chestnut admitted taking blank gift cards at Buehler's Fresh Market on Fulton Drive Northwest, where he was employed, and using them to make purchases at several Buehler's stores.
Gregory Kennedy, 25, of Lincoln Street Southeast, Minerva, was jailed in Stark County on an assault charge Aug. 9, stemming from a fight at Buffalo Wild Wings on Belden Village Street Northwest.

Cash, a TV and other electronic equipment and accessories, valued at $1,239, were reported taken during a burglary Aug. 9 at an Independence Circle Northwest home.

A CD player valued at $520 was reported stolen Aug. 11 from a car parked in the driveway of a Taggart Street Northwest home.
An $800 refrigerator was reported stolen from a home on Erie Avenue Northwest.
A ratchet set, saws and other items, valued at $5,250 and owned by D&A Plumbing of Cleveland Avenue Northwest, were reported stolen Aug. 9 from a company van parked at an employee's home on Daytona Street Northwest.
Cash totaling $650 was reported stolen Aug. 9 from a home on Traphagen Street Northwest.
A Lake Township man told police Aug. 8 that 12 mini-helmets, plus two other helmets and other items, were stolen from his truck in the parking lot at the Holiday Inn on Everhard Road Northwest.
An antique plow valued at $500 was reported stolen Aug. 8 from the front lawn of a Lafayette Drive Northwest home.
Police are investigating a report of $800 missing from a Best Buy employee's cash drawer after an audit at the Strip Avenue Northwest business.
A spokesperson for Midwest Direct on Eagle Circle Northwest reported Aug. 3 that a storage trailer was entered and 22 boxes of cable and three power supplies, valued at $2,200, were taken.

Aaron Sharpe, 18, of Cleveland Avenue Northwest, Greentown, was jailed Aug. 8 on a domestic violence charge, accused of throwing a jar of jelly at his brother.

Cheryl Graham, 44, of Penn Place Northeast, Canton, was jailed in Stark County Aug. 7 on a felony theft warrant. She is accused of stealing four pairs of eyeglass frames, valued at $900, from a North Canton business on June 22.

Gary Staats, 53, of Middlebranch Avenue Northeast, was booked in the Stark County Jail on Aug. 13 on a warrant charging him with telephone harassment.
Andrew Mayle, 21, of Whipple Avenue Northwest, was booked Aug. 10 on a domestic violence charge. He is accused of grabbing his girlfriend by the arms and throwing her against a wall.
Kevin Rice, 48, of Middlebranch Avenue Northeast, was jailed on domestic violence, assault and drug charges. He is accused of shoving a woman during an altercation at his home.

A Peachglen Avenue resident told police Aug. 12 that a laptop computer and accessories plus a compact disc of wedding photos, valued at $1,925, were stolen from her car parked in the home's driveway.

Kenneth L. McKinley III, 21, of Wooster, was arrested Aug. 18 on charges of possessing weapons illegally, transporting a firearm in a motor vehicle and carrying a concealed weapon. Police said they found a handgun and ammunition in his car during a traffic stop in the 300 block of East Liberty Street.
Lorenzo J. Wheeler Jr., 22, of Wooster, was arrested Aug. 18 on a felony domestic violence charge. He is accused of pushing and grabbing a 23-year-old woman at their home in the 1000 block of Rebecca Street.
Larry Nolan, 58, of Wooster, was arrested Aug. 14 on a charge of felony domestic violence. Police said Nolan and his 22-year-old daughter fought at their home in the 2000 block of Orchard Drive. Officers took a kitchen knife and fireplace tongs from the residence.

A pavilion and six picnic benches valued at $20,600 were set on fire Aug. 18 at JayCee Park, 900 Spink St.

Matthew Oliverio, 19, of Marshallville, was charged Aug. 16 with forgery, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs and a lane violation. Police reported stopping Oliverio for allegedly speeding on state Route 21 at Johnson Road. Officers said Oliverio failed sobriety tests and he is accused of presenting a counterfeit driver's license.

A Columbia Woods Drive man reported Aug. 19 that he discovered his credit report contained many accounts and medical charges that were not his.

Reports said the lock on the shed was cut.
A 2007 Honda motorcycle, valued at $4,000, was reported stolen Aug. 10 in the 400 block of West Avenue.
A red 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt and a purse containing $350 and credit cards were reported stolen Aug. 11 from a home in the 500 block of Hilltop Terrace.

Police said they found a handgun and ammunition in his car during a traffic stop in the 300 block of East Liberty Street.
Lorenzo J. Wheeler Jr., 22, of Wooster, was arrested Aug. 18 on a felony domestic violence charge. He is accused of pushing and grabbing a 23-year-old woman at their home in the 1000 block of Rebecca Street.
Larry Nolan, 58, of Wooster, was arrested Aug. 14 on a charge of felony domestic violence. Police said Nolan and his 22-year-old daughter fought at their home in the 2000 block of Orchard Drive. Officers took a kitchen knife and fireplace tongs from the residence.
