A 19-year-old man was shot by his hunting partner while tracking deer this week in Green, Summit County sheriff's deputies said Friday.
Scott Boykin, 19, of Green, was struck twice while hunting off Killinger Road about 5 p.m. Wednesday. Deputies say Boykin's hunting partner, a 17-year-old boy from North Canton, shot the man twice with a 12-gauge shotgun.
Boykin is being treated at Akron City Hospital.
No charges have been filed against the shooter.
The case remains under investigation.
