The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration will be conducting its eighth national “Drug Take Back Day” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at numerous locations in the Akron area.
The event is designed to dispose of unused and outdated drugs in a way that is safe for the environment while eliminating some potential overdoses.
Personal information should be removed from any containers. Medications also may be removed from containers and placed in transparent plastic bags for disposal.
“Sharps” — needles, syringes, hypodermics or lancets — along with illegal drugs will not be accepted.
