Even ski resorts shut down by bitter cold snap; casino, too

Beacon Journal staff report

The bitter cold temperatures that have descended on Northeast Ohio and caused hundreds of area schools to close have even forced the closing of Brandywine and Boston Mills ski resorts in Peninsula.

“With Arctic Sub Zero weather moving in we will be suspending operations until Wednesday,” a post on the resorts’ website said. “Stay warm, safe, and see you Wednesday.”

The Horseshoe Casino in Cleveland has also suspended operations until further notice.
