Fire damages Chinese restaurant in Twinsburg

TWINSBURG: A fire Sunday night damaged a Chinese food restaurant in a shopping plaza at 7995 Darrow Road.

Firefighters responded to a report of smoke filling Beijing Garden at 7:04 p.m. The fire was contained to the kitchen area, leaving mostly smoke and water damage throughout the business, authorities said. Damage was estimated to be at least $10,000.

No one was injured. Three or four other businesses in the plaza were evacuated at the time.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
