Gov. John Kasich has a comfortable lead among his two potential Democratic challengers in the 2014 race, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released this morning.
The poll, however, shows male voters favoring Kasich more than female voters.
Kasich leads Cuyahoga County Executive Ed Fitzgerald 46 to 37 and U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Director Richard Cordray 45 to 38 percent, the poll found. These results are nearly identical to a Feb. 28 poll.
When broken down by gender, the margins change. Kasich tops Fitzgerald 51 to 32 among men, but the two are tied at 41 percent among women. Kasich leads Cordray 52 to 34 percent among men, but Cordray tops him among women by 43 to 39 percent.
