Dokes was jumping for joy (left) when he scored a TKO over Mike Weaver in their battle for the world Boxing Association title in 1982. However, barely 10 months later, Dokes (above) was beaten into submission by Gerrie Coetzee at the Coliseum. (Akron Beacon Journal file photo)
