Cards being mailed to Summit County voters

Beacon Journal staff report

Summit County residents need to be on the lookout for a bright orange card they’ll be getting in the mail from the Board of Elections.

The oversized postcard tells voters their new precinct and polling locations and which Statehouse and congressional districts they will be voting for in the Nov. 6 election.

Joe Masich, director of the elections board, suggests that voters who plan to vote on Election Day keep the card and take it with them to the polls. He warns, though, that it doesn’t serve as a form of identification — only as a reminder about where to go to vote.

Voters also can check their precincts and polling locations at www.summitcountyboe.com/.

The elections board reduced the number of precincts and polling locations this year to save money.
