Robert “Bob” Bowman
Personal: 69. Born in St. Louis and moved frequently because of father’s job. Married to Carol. Four children and seven grandchildren.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in political science and master’s in community development, both from the University of Louisville.
Professional: Akron’s deputy mayor of economic development since 2004. Before that, vice president of economic development for the Greater Akron Chamber, previously called the Akron Regional Development Board, for 16 years. Prior to that, numerous economic development positions in Virginia and Kentucky.
