Name: U.S. Rep. Jim Renacci.

Party: Republican.

Current position: 16th District representative.

Personal: 53; lives in Wadsworth; married; three children.

Education: Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Political experience: U.S. House of Representatives, 2011 to present; Wadsworth mayor, 2004-2008; Wadsworth City Council, 1999-2003.

Professional experience: Certified public accountant and business owner, including once co-owning the Columbus Destroyers arena football team.

Biggest issue facing district: “A lack of well-paying jobs for working-class families.”

16th DISTRICT DETAILS

Redrawn lines: Congressional boundaries were redrawn after the 2010 U.S. Census, putting Renacci and Sutton into the same district.

Current boundaries: Stark and Wayne counties and parts of Ashland and Medina counties.

New boundaries: All of Wayne County and parts of Summit, Stark, Portage, Medina and Cuyahoga counties.
