The congregation at First Church of Christ Scientist in Medina is hosting a talk to explore how spiritual prayer can be used to solve problems, achieve goals and maintain health.
The talk, which features Norm Bleichman, is at 2:30 p.m. next Saturday at the church, 5147 River Styx Road. Child care will be provided.
Bleichman of Newburyport, Mass., is a Christian Science practitioner and internal speaker who espouses that he has proved over the years that prayer works. He will share his experiences and answer questions during his lecture, called Prayer that Works.
Bleichman grew up in southern California but has lived in the Boston area for the past 25 years. After graduating from college, he served in the U.S. Navy, which included a tour of duty in Vietnam. After his discharge from the military, he returned to Los Angeles to work in the family plastics business before becoming a freelance writer for television and advertising. He now devotes his life to helping people find a higher purpose for their lives through spiritual prayer.
