FAIRLAWN: Three adults and two children were injured in a two-vehicle crash Saturday near Summit Mall, authorities said.

Fairlawn Fire Lt. Dave Young said the injured were treated as trauma cases and taken by paramedics to three area hospitals.

The names of the injured and their conditions were not immediately available.

The crash occurred about 6 p.m. at West Market Street and Smith Road.

The collision brought paramedics from Fairlawn and Akron and backed up traffic throughout the Montrose shopping area.
