Four Catholic high school seniors will speak during the monthly luncheon of the First Friday Club of Greater Akron on Feb. 3 at the University of Akron Martin Center, 105 Fir Hill, Akron.
The students — Erica Beal of Archbishop Hoban, Tessa Haneline of Our Lady of the Elms, Lydia Presper of St. Vincent-St. Mary and Michael Bachmann of Walsh Jesuit — will reflect on personal stories of how God has worked in their lives. The students were selected by school faculty and staff to represent their high schools.
The First Friday Club strives to promote a better understanding of issues that affect church, family, work and community life. The Catholic organization’s luncheon series is in its 12th year and draws an average of 175 people.
