The Akron Area Interfaith Council is hosting its annual Walk To Stop Hunger at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Akron, 3300 Morewood Road, Fairlawn.
Registration with refreshments and music begins at 2 p.m. and the 2.5-mile walk starts at 3 p.m. A soup social will begin after the walk.
All donations and money raised by walkers (from sponsors) will go to the Akron Canton Regional Foodbank. Nonperishable food items will also be collected in the registration area for the foodbank. Monetary donations will be matched by the Feinstein Foundation Annual $1 Million Giveaway To Fight Hunger.
